3/10I have to say that I never expected that they will not serve the Maklouba today. We were 9 people and it was the first time we were trying Tunisian food, when it was time to order they told us that there was no Maklouba and soup serving today, which made us think that they did it on purpose just to make us order more expensive food from them. It's actually not fair to write it on the Menu and even in front of the shop and when we enter inside the restaurant, we cannot order it, because they decided to not make it today, which is weird because it's Sunday lunch time which is usually will be a rush time in a week. At first I thought about leaving the restaurant but it was lunch time and trying to find another spot for 9 was a bit challenging at that moment. But hereafter I am never ever going back to this place or not even suggesting this place to anyone. I hope they will never do this again to anyone else. So, people who are going in a large number, be ready to face this situation.

Hi ! , First of all is not Maklouba ! But is a Makloub ( is a hot sandwich) and yes since a good time we don’t serve the Makloub for the weekend and we serve it just during the week for a rush time as you said ‘ because people are working and need to be quickly.to eat .. The soupe since the first of May we don’t Serve it Because Is the hot season ,and in our culture soupe is for the cold times , Thank you any way but is unfair to write a such review just because you did not find the plate that you wanted ,

2/10We had the worst possible evening at this restaurant- the worst I have ever had. And was subjected to a fistfight initiated by the owner. We wanted a lovely Easter dinner with 2 grandparents, 2 grandkids (4&7) and the parents. We love Tunisian food!we are reasonable people! Bottom line, It ended with a terrible physical incident where I ( the grandmother) was hit in the face and grabbed and held by the arm by the owner/ manager in the melee that ensued. Stay away! This is the story: When we arrived, the owner/ manager was standing in the door talking on the phone and asked us “what we wanted.” We said we had a reservation via the Fork. While still talking on the phone and seemingly annoyed he hastily showed us where to sit while pushing our 4 year old grandson aside. He then walked away. When we tried to ask a question and he looked annoyed at us for bothering him so we commented that he was still on the phone and we had a question. That enraged him. He shouted that he and the waitress were the only 2 there and told us “if we were unhappy we could leave”. (!!!) My husband, the grandfather ( who is Tunisian) was insulted and incensed and left. The remaining family looked at the menu as the kids were hungry., and requested French fries for them so they could get food quickly . Finally the waitress returned to take the rest of the order. The restaurant had very few people at this time. She brought bread and nibbles to the table, took our order- it was now 7:30. We got the French fries 25 min later and part of our order 30 min later. Then we waited another 15 to get our salads, and the order was wrong. At 8:30, 90 min after arriving) one of the grandkids was falling asleep- we were still waiting on one more order and asked for the check. The manager owner came out with the last order in his hand and angrily said - you want this as takeaway? At this point we just wanted to leave so we said ok. The waitress came up and could not give me a “bill” saying the machine was broken and asked us to pay 100 euros which was at least 35 euros more than what we had ordered. In addition we had the 20% promo discount. My adult son went to ask for an explanation and was told that since one person left, the promo was invalid and refused to give us a bill. My son asked if he could escort his kids outside so they could discuss this more calmly and all hell broke loose. We intended to pay but the screaming had already started and he accused us of trying to leave without paying- NOT TRUE-he misunderstood and began to push my son ( with a sleeping child in his arms) and me, screaming, “ I am calling the police”. Then several other men appeared and continued to scream and push. We tried to explain we wanted to get the kids away and then pay- he would not hear of it. We finally just paid giving up any rights or discussion we had tried to get but wanting to just leave- the kids were crying, I was terrified. Then the owner held us physically saying we could not leave. Screaming, he said he would call the police since we had not paid him inside this tiny restaurant but right in front of it (!!!). Finally his “ friends” tried to stop that ridiculous behavior so we could extract ourselves and we were able to escape the scene with the children. It is a shame- the food is good - the service atrocious -but the manager / owner should never interact with the public. I personally have never been attacked physically in this way and my poor grandkids were terrified. Stay away!!
