We had a reservation for 8, but when we arrived, the restaurant had no record of it. They seated us at a table in a very narrow space where we could barely sit. When it was time to order, the menu only offered five dishes to choose from. After placing our order, the waitress came back to inform us that some of the items were no longer available. The dishes arrived quickly, but unfortunately, there was no sauce to go with them. As for dessert, we were first told there were two options, but then the waitress returned to say that only cookies were left — and they weren’t very good. Apparently, the restaurant is quite small and had a busy lunch service, so they hadn’t restocked anything for the evening. As a result, we could only eat what was left from lunchtime.

I traveled from the U.S. in hopes of eating good Haitian food and Haitian Mama did not disappoint. I loved the decor, the food was seasoned to perfection and a good portion and the customer service was excellent.

We had a lovely dinner at this small gem. Definitely recommend if your in the mood for authentic Haitian cuisine. Charming restaurant and our waitress was lovely.
