I’m a tiny bit hesitant to write my review because this is the most delicious Asian kitchen in the Algarve…and it only has a handful of tables…but it’s not fair to keep this place a secret so instead I’ll have to plan my next visits well in advance and make my reservation online. Enjoy! 🌶️

Small and friendly with a really cosy atmosphere. Great menu and so happy to give advice to help you choose. Really delicious dishes beautifully presented. Will be a firm favourite.

This was our first visit to Himalayan Pink Salt, we had a lovely welcome by the waiter. The door was open all evening, throughout the meal. So it did feel quite cool. The music was quite nice. We had a few different starters to share. The onion bhajis were lovely The chicken tikka masala was lovely My husband had a lamb dish, he was a little disappointed at the portion size, 6 small pieces of lamb, the sauce was delicious. We spoke to the establishment to give feedback Based on this meal, we would try the restaurant again though. To see if there was any improvement

Very good experience at the Himalayan. Staff were helpful and friendly, food served hot and timely. I had the sizzling tiger prawns which were huge and delicious! My partner the mixed meat curry which was declared ‘excellent’. Dumpling starters very nice too. Prices surprisingly good for such good quality food. We’ll be back. L&P

We came following the many good recommendations, but no one wrote about the slow service. It got to the point where we waited an hour for the first courses. The wine and bread also took a long time to arrive. And it's a real shame because the food is very special. It seems there's a management problem there, the waiters didn't know how to function but they had a lot of goodwill. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere (especially the outdoor seating) is very pleasant. I also had a specific problem with the tandoori chicken dish (it didn't come as I thought - right on the bone) and it also made my stomach a bit upset afterwards, but maybe that's just my sensitivity. If the waiting time for the dishes to be brought out and the service in general was faster, then I would give this restaurant a 10.

Pushpa a welcoming host , menu extensive great choice . The food itself was among the best I’ve had . My husband had biryani and said it was the bests he’s ever tasted . Will be back before end of holiday . A must if you like Indian food

To be totally honest… nothing was good. The waitress was trying her very best but she didn’t have any help with the service. The waiting time was unacceptable. The restaurant was way too busy for her to cope on her own. People were leaving without getting their food.The food when it did come was mediocre. Table of eight left without even getting their drinks. Such a shame could be good but at the moment don’t see it being open for long unless a miracle happens and the poor waitress gets help with some English speaking people.

we arrived at the restaurant and ordered drinks and food just before 8 o clock. drinks were a bottle of red wine, a pint and 2 glasses of white wine. Over an hour later by 9.10 p.m. we had had 3 bottles of water and the pint brought to the table, no wine, despite going up to our waitress 3 times and asking where were our drinks and food. At 9.10 p.m. we walked out of the restaurant leaving €20 to cover the water and the pint. As we walked out the waitress said our food wouldn't be much longer but didnt even mention the wine we were still waiting for. it was complete and utter chaos xx

First visit, staff worked hard to help us enjoy the experience of Himalayan food. What a fantastic night, food and wine was First class, can't wait to go back.

what a hidden gem. Lucky to find it while visiting Alvor. The food was excellent. we would definately go back. Many thanks to the lovely lady who looked after us.
