10/10The restaurant is beautiful and the service was impeccable. Our server help us select a wine that was more suitable for our pizzas! Out of all the pizzas in Florence, this is the best one. You must try the special/seasonal pizzas, they were so fresh, the burrata was melt in your mouth. Their more creative pizzas, the one with the tartare, delicious! I was worried at first, but the dough was perfectly fried, fluffy and crunchy. Hidden gem! Even though we got a discount on our bill from Fork reservation, we would have easily paid full price for our meal. Amazing!

10/10Andrew greeted us warmly, gave us options where to sit, was attentive without overcrowding us during the meal. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. The pizza's were ordered were delicious, as was the local beer. The place has a great vibe, is well located when touring around central Florence and incredible food. Thank you Andrew and all the staff at Hortus.

10/10This is our second visit. This time I had the calzone and a nice tall cold beer. My husband had a pizza and it was perfect. Once again we sat in the elegant, comfortable courtyard. Being a Friday night, the place was bustling. It is so warm and friendly place with wonderful food. They are such welcoming hosts you don’t feel like a patron you feel like a friend.

Well executed Roman style pizze. I personally like a bit less tomato on my Margherita (buflina), otherwise top. Cornicione perfect for me, some crunch but soft inside. Your preferences may vary. Nice team.

Made a reservation here as we decided we needed a break from heavy trattorias. Hortus Firenze was the perfect alternative. The ambiance is light and airy with couples, groups and families all enjoying their specialty pizzas. Felt authentic and uniquely local based on the florentine clientele despite being close to the tourist sites. The pizza dough is light and airy, and pizza toppings are all unique and delicious.

We went out only to have a regular pizza and then we found this incredible place, Hortus. From the moment we seated at our table we realized that this was gonna be good. Professional and friendly service, great atmosphere and one of the best pizzas I ever had. I eat a lot of pizza and this spot is defnetly one of my favourites. For starter we had Coccoli, small balls of pizza dough deepfried to perfection with prosciutto and fior de latte. For main they have a classic menu (marguerita, marinara, etc) and a gormet one, wich I strongly recomend! Great food and service and honest prices!

6.5/10Pizza was absolutely delicious but prices are extremely high. 70 euros for 2 pizzas, 2 desserts and 2 beers. They add a 3.5 euro per person service charge.

8.5/10After a lot of nights of pasta we fancied pizza so gave Horus Frienze a go. The service here was fast and friendly and the pizzas were good too. Coped well with small groups and families. Worth coming to if you fancy a decent pizza in Florence.
