Lovely starters and atmosphere. For the main course we had pasta. The pasta was the perfect texture. Tne ingredients being used were fantastic. However, the dish was so salty it was actually inedible. We raised this and were not talen seriously. Astonished the place is rated by Michelin how it is. Do not go.

A nice restaurant, but not the best service. Waiter seemed to be in a hurry incl not presenting the menu properly and later serving drinks and food not coordinated. We were 5 at the table, but food come not at same time. This went on during our visit. Food was good, steak very good. Sides ok, but fries a little soggy. All in all it was an ok meal, but at a higher cost I expect better service, and better timing.

We have traveled in Europe and Italy extensively and are familiar with service norms and this experience was beyond curt to down right churlish. The food was heavily salted, to the point that it lost all other flavor. Prices were high for quality, but would have been on par if the food was good. It seems to be a place that is trading on its history. Would not recommend.

It’s a great restaurant! They provide a real homemade pasta. It was a hard decision for me to choose spaghetti rather than their pizza. The restaurant gave me a great finish of my last day in Rome.

Solid Roman food - artichokes, pasta, veal, house red, with surprise item, prawn carpaccio. Tiffany lamps, servers in smart blue waistcoats, local families around the table, Michelin badge. Could not ask for more…….

The service we had was pretty nonexistent. The raw fish carpaccio was missing some items and we only ordered 3 things. The mixed seafood pasta literally had only 1.5 shrimp. The ragu was decent but our mains came out 90 minutes after we got there. No one Checked on us except for the busser who helped us get a dessert. Which was good but not worth the Michelin recommendation
Hostaria Da CesareSig.ra Skellenger, ci dispiace che non si sia trovata bene e che qualche pietanza non abbia soddisfatto le sue aspettative. Quanto ai crudi forse c'è stata una incomprensione con il cameriere ma per quanto riguarda la pasta con i crostacei noi diamo circa 110 grammi tra scampi e gamberoni nazionali. Un ora e mezza di attesa invece è abbastanza inverosimile ma non escludo che sabato sera, con il ristorante al completo, ci possa essere stato qualche ritardo in cucina nell'uscita delle pietanze. E' comunque buona norma chiedere sempre del responsabile o del direttore quando qualcosa non va sia per la sua utilità del che per la consapevolezza del ristoratore. Mi fa piacere che non abbia criticato la qualità del cibo anche perché non stiamo a caso da più di 40 anni sulla guida Michelin e certamente non crediamo di meritare un giudizio così basso. The atmosphere and food were perfect. The saltimbocca and tiramisu were the best I’ve ever had.

This was the best of many great meals that we had in Rome. We went for lunch after seeing the recommendation in the Michelin guide. I was lucky to have ordered a mushroom salad—the coveted amanita Caesarea mushroom. It was delicate and perfect! My husband ordered a lasagna that was fantastic also. The servers were gracious and helpful. The restaurant is in a lovely neighborhood not terribly far from Vatican City. It was walkable from our tour.

The service was forgetful and inconsistent - some tables received olive oil, some didn’t, some got smaller plates for bread and appetizer sharing, some didn’t. My wine glass was dirty.

We had a delicious meal with fantastic service. It was a good value as well. Can't wait to go back next time I am in Rome for the Carbonara!

We came here multiple times in May-June 2023 and always had a great meal. Thus we were looking forward to revisiting during our trip in July 2025 but were very disappointed with the horrible seafood course (pasta course was still very good) and will not be returning in the future.

The service, ambiance and food was exceptional. The pasta with pepper and cheese was rated by my son as the best pasta he has ever had. My spaghetti Congolese was beautiful but for my taste buds I needed some lemon to cut through. Which they happily provided. Our waiter recommended perfect wines to match every course. Amazing meal. 4 of us on vacation in Italy and we rely on reviews heavily for places to eat, but in this case, our hotel owner suggested this restaurant that was close to us. Without a doubt, this was authentic and an amazing meal. I can honestly say, this was the best Lasagna l've ever had. "Lasagna al ragù di Chianina - Lasagna with chianina's meat sauce"the sauce was out of this world. My wife had the "Scaloppina al limone o al vino (a,) Veal scallop sautèed with butter and white wine or lemon" she had the lemon sauce and it was also outstanding. We were not going to order dessert,but we figured if the food was so good the dessert should follow the same and it did. We ordered the tiramisu and it too was amazing. We have visited 6 cities on our tour of Italy and I have eaten more tiramisu than I ever have and this was one of the best. This restaurant gives me the old Italian style restaurant I love. Booking was confirmed at 7 pm via Michelin. Restaurant staff just sent us away… Thus we had to come back at 7:30 pm. I ordered a pizza with ham and mushrooms 🍄🟫 and got a Parma pizza 🍕. At the end … if you pay with credit card … we had to give 10% for this „great“ service. Never ever again … In my opinion service should be independent whether you come from Italy or any other country… as well… eye contact and hospitality should be somehow equal?? … in this histeria you feel not welcome as foreigners at all.

I had high expectations but the food was not up standard, especially considering its Micheling affiliation. That goes in particular to the meat which was of ok quality but not cooked in a proper way with no propser searing (especially considering it is a Tuscan restaurant). Service was fine, but lack of English skills pulled it down a bit. Also, the service seemed stressed and many mistakes were made. Also, on a final note, I went there to celebrate my birthday and would have expected some type of recognition but received none. I do not recommend this restaurant and I am not sure why the Michelin guide can have it one their list since, at least at the time of my visit, the standad was not even close to what one would expect.

An old fashioned sort of place that makes you feel spoiled. Professionally run, no surprises in food or service. Not gourmet, not exceptional food, but all your Roman favourites are there, well cooked as I am sure they have been for ever

Given that this restaurant was on the Michelin app, we were so excited to give it a try. Our server was not your typical friendly Italian gentleman….he was curt and rude. We had a few items that were fantastically delicious (fried squash flowers). Several items on our order were forgotten. The clam spaghetti was less than to be desired (clams were tasty but the spaghetti and sauce were almost inedible).
