10/10The food was great, very fresh and tasty, staff lovely and helpful. Their Negroamaro wine was very reasonably priced and so smooth. Shame we discovered the restaurant on the last night of our holiday, as we’d have gone there again.

10/10+4Our family found this hidden gem on accident while we were travelling in Rome in August, and we were so glad to have found this cute little restaurant as they probably have the best service and they service very authentic Italian food. The menu has a great selection of food, we tried five different pasta dishes here and they are all very yummy. We especially love the pasta cooked with porcini mushroom, as well as the ox tail. It’s so soft and tender, and also very flavourful. My dad has hypertension and can’t have very salty food, and we are very glad that we got very attentive waiters as they will come to our table to remind my dad about which dish to avoid. They don’t speak very good English but they try their best to communicate with us. I will give them a five star for their outstanding service and great food.

10/10Our family ate here last summer and had a great experience, so we had to revisit when we were back in Florence this year. The staff readily met our request to put our group of seven in the back room (the same place we were last year), and delivered great, personalized service! The menu has so many great options (it easily met the needs of everyone in our group) and the food is some of the best we've had in Florence. I had the gnocchi with clams, and it was probably the best dish I had all week. It's on a side street out of the hustle and bustle of Florence, so it feels almost like a "hidden secret."

9.5/10One of the best food experiences in Rome! The food was incredible and we loved the local less touristy vibe. The Amatriciana pasta was unbelievably good as well as the filete al funghi. Amazing place!

9.5/10Charming restaurant tucked a little away from the busier alleys of Trastevere with some of the best food we had in Rome. The whole sea bass we ordered was delicious as was the filet and porcini mushroom entree. The staff are very sweet and accommodating; great service! Fantastic wine menu with great options at every price. The house wines were very enjoyable.

10/10I have been a lot of places in Rome, and all over the world. By all accounts Hostaria del Roody is an amazing restaurant. The staff/servers were first class. We asked them to choose lots of appetizers for everyone and they did not dissapoint. They were kind, took great care of us, and every dish was amazing. Beautiful space indoor and out too. 10/10

10/10Restaurant is in a quiet little street away from the busy area of Trastevere. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The were great at helping us with selections and patient with the fact that we don’t know much Italian. We had three pastas to share - Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, Bombolotti all’Amatriciana, and the Spaghettoni fatti in casa alla Carbonara. For a secondi to share, we ordered the filet with porcini mushrooms. Everything we amazing! Pastas were perfectly cooked, the flavors were incredible. You could have made tell that the ingredients were high quality, not over-seasoned and clearly cooked in a way to showcase the dishes perfectly. We are only in town for a week and a half but will be back again before we leave, just so we can try more items on the menu.

dear kristian, we brought you the dessert immediately and only after finishing it did we ask you if you wanted anything else! at this point we brought you the bill out of respect for all the people who were waiting in line to eat! as you ate and enjoyed the evening I think it's right to be able to let other people do it too! that's all, thanks anyway

10/10Peter was our waiter, and he was funny, informative, and made great recommendations. The ambiance was very romantic. It is a nice quiet part of Trastevere, but close enough to all the action. Truly was a spectacular place. The caccio di pepe was REALLY good. The lamb though, spectacular.

9.5/10We loved this restaurant. Service was great. Food was delicious. We sat outside, there was a few motorbikes that went by but wasn’t too loud. Loved that it was just away from the crowded noisy touristy streets of Trastavere. Everything was homemade too.

8/10This one was abit of a mix. The food was excellent! Carbonara was the best one we’ve ever had, good selection of wines too, which was beautifully paired with Ox tail dish. Service, however, was disappointing. We were served by tall man with longish hair and glasses. He didn’t interact with us, never checked how was the meal, nor offered dessert menu (we had to asked for it) and generally felt like he didn’t wanna serve us. It was our only one day in Rome and we didn’t expect this, since the food was amazing!!

10/10We had an amazing dinner here with our 3 teenagers! Our waiter was very kind and took great care of us. Definitely the best Cacio e Pepe we have had in Italy. We highly recommend the stuffed zucchini flowers as well.
