We are always in search of authentic food and experiences during our travels. The food was impeccable. I am so glad we found Hostaria del Roody. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If we were in Rome longer, we would be back another night. Hands down the best food and service we have had over multiple trips to Rome. Only positive things to say. If you find yourself in Trastevere, give these local people a try and experience authentic Italian love shown through their food and hospitality.

Fantastic restaurant off the beaten path in Trastevere. Great ambience. Nice to be away from all of the noise and crowds. Food was delicious and service was attentive.

The meal we had at Hostaria del Roody was the best meal we had in Italy. Truly exceptional. Great wine recommendation, simple food that somehow was better than the sum of its exceptional ingredients. Do not miss the burrata and pomodoro appetizer!

The service was exceptionally courteous. The pasta dishes with Pecorino cheese were not to the taste of some diners, and the restaurant replaced them with other dishes without hesitation. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was pleasant and enjoyable. The only dish we found tasty was the beef cheek. The rest of the dishes were less to my friends’ liking. In conclusion, a nice restaurant, but we’ve dined at better places.

Good morning, we are sorry that you did not appreciate our cuisine. unlike many other restaurants in the area we only use pecorino for the pasta, while usually half pecorino and half parmesan is used, this makes it more delicate, but it is not the original recipe. Pecorino is definitely stronger. We are waiting for you to make you think again

The food was great, very fresh and tasty, staff lovely and helpful. Their Negroamaro wine was very reasonably priced and so smooth. Shame we discovered the restaurant on the last night of our holiday, as we’d have gone there again.
