10/10This was my and my sister’s first Michelin star experience, and we were not disappointed. We chose Idylio after researching Rome-area restaurants and felt it fit our vibe best. We had also recently done a trip to Japan, where the chef has been trained, so we were intrigued to see how he showcases his experience. Chef’s marriage of Italian and Japanese food is genius. The 5 root pasta with caviar almost brought me to tears; it gave me the same feeling as crawling into a warm bed with clean pajamas after a relaxing hot bath following a long, cold day of skiing in the mountains. So comforting. And the sweet buffalo mozzarella was unforgettable for me, as well as some of the appetizers before dinner and between courses. Highly recommend Idylio!

10/10Excellent meal and great experience at Idylio. We enjoyed every bite - the food was so creative, unique and appetizing - and the meal was well timed at a perfect pace that was neither too rushed or too slow. The staff was gracious and responsive, and each made sure we had a good experience. Thank you for an incredible meal - we'll be recommending Idylio to our friends who travel to Rome!

9/10Food was fantastic! Deserving of another star!Staff was excellent with great wine recommendations! They however gave me wrong information that I couldn’t get Marriott Bonvoy points for my meal. The Pantheon hotel said that the restaurant should have informed them about my request and they could have credited my points before I had paid the restaurant directly…. If the front desk was telling me the truth that is and not trying to fub me off So if you’re a Mariott Bonvoy member and you’re not a guest of the hotel, it’s worth asking the front desk if your meal at the restaurant can be credited .

10/10What a memorable dinner for my significant other and I. Alex was the best along with the entire staff. While the food was amazing it was accompanied by a perfect location that pays attention to every small detail. This is a must try event.

+4Spectacular dinner with outstanding service, ambiance, and food that is elevated and "eatable". Items brought by the chef before dinner little works of delicious art. A radish to cleanse the palate that was such an amazing mouthful. Fantastic wine pairings from vineyards around Italy making small batches. Plan for 3+ hours to enjoy the full experience. Gracious hosts. This is a must-eat stop for food and wine lovers. Not overly fussy.

7/10Food was not fantastic, but also not extremely horrible. I always opt for the most extensive tasting menu to get the best out of the restaurant, and I was disappointed. Wine pairing was a disaster, especially for two of the chosen white wine. One smelled like wet cardboard and another one smelled like nail polish remover (after eating at more than 30 Michelin restaurants with wine paring; this was the second time I sent the wine back). The sommelier did change the wine to the most ordinary safe choice of Chardonnay for me, albeit he insisted that those two faulty glasses were in good condition. I was confident enough to have a third person or the chef to come out and smell the wine, but you know, it’s business for them and it’s his words against mine. What can I say, it’s Rome; just don’t have too high expectations, so you won’t be disappointed.

10/10From the moment you enter the restaurant, every detail is thoughtfully considered. From the selection of cutlery and dishes to the amazing attention by the staff, this experience far exceeded my expectations. That doesn’t even include the exceptional food! The meal was absolutely amazing.

10/10This is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The restaurant had amazing ambience and decorations. The food was delicious, unique, and beautifully presented, and the entire experience more than lived up to the restaurant's Michelin star. Yet, even among Michelin star restaurants I have visited in my life (I have visited around 15 of them across the world), Idylio is my favorite so far. If I come back to Rome, I would definitely love to visit again.

+6Everything went above and beyond our expectations. You absolutely receive your money’s worth when placing the experience in the context of other tours and attractions around Rome; you are receiving an elegant food tour delivered by knowledgeable, consummate professionals. Chef wonderfully accommodated my girlfriend, who is vegetarian, and we both enjoyed a six course experience filled with flavor and surprises. The wine pairing also fabulously elevated the experience. The staff was friendly and never interrupted during eating or conversation. Cannot recommend enough.

10/10The food is excellent, and the service is impressive; the only thing I would raise a flag for is that they ask us (a party of 2 in my case) to order the same pasta and main course because the chef usually prepares more or any other reason. Since I am dairy intolerant and do not eat fish, and the two tasting menus are heavily based on fish, they opened an exception, and my friend could choose what he wanted from the different options on the menu. A tasting menu is usually already restrictive; given the starting price of this specific restaurant, there is no justification for not allowing each person from the table to choose what it prefers from the tasting menu. Also, the main course could be slightly bigger.

10/10Amazing tastes from Asia applied with delicate care to create delicious works of art. Most impressive is the signature dish created by the chef himself. Generally chefs of this stature have desert chefs who create deserts, and mostly disappointing. Not here.

10/10This place exceeded me and my husband’s expectations! The ingredients, flavors, and techniques used throughout the 6 courses were exceptional, impressive, and we left feeling very satisfied and comfortably full. We loved the flow of the menu and were excited about what the next course would taste/be like. Although everything tasted phenomenal, the breaded sea scallops and black truffle was our favorite. The servers and ambiance were great, and Chef Apreda even came out and said hi to us (compliments to the chef)! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Idylio and definitely recommend.

10/10Excellent birthday dinner, high end price matched the total experience, with great wine recommendations provided. The fusion foods were delicious. The experience went a bit longer than we planned for, but we enjoyed every course. The service was great and ambience was lovely.

10/10Our first time at a Michelin Star restaurant and it did not disappoint. Every dish on the tasting menu got the “Oh my god” result we wanted. Service was amazing too. My only regret is we were on vacation in Rome and leave tomorrow so I’ll never know what the courses we didn’t try tasted like.
