We were fortunate to arrive the evening that the menu changed to spring. What wonderful dishes. The wine pairing was exceptional, and closely matched the courses. The chef was kind enough to come to our table after dinner. He spoke with us about his ideas, and also his experience. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant worthy of your consideration.

Food was meh... To be fair, I came in with higher expectations and for what they charge compared to all the other amazing trattorias in Italy...I left feeling very underwhelmed. Idylio is a Michelin tourist trap...a superficial gold digger. However, sometimes you find really amazing ones that blow you away in the Michelin hyped restaurant world. In summary, Idylio was probably the worst Michelin star restaurant that I've been to over that past 10 years.

+1The food was exceptional, the Italian dishes with the Japanese and Indian accents went extremely well together. Each dish being different was a nice way to taste the 15+ year experience of Head Chef Apredo. Wine selection was appropriate for every dish each tasting different and the non-alcoholic wine pairing was extremely well made with the beetroot and sichuan pepper „wine” being in my opinion the best. Lastly, the service was just perfect nothing more to add sadly only cash tips were allowed. Also Chef Apreda visited each guest and had a chat with them which for me and my family”s first time being there it was a night we will not forget.

Delicious food, a comfortable atmosphere Thank you for your very formal and perfect service. Personally, Pasta and Potatoes, Lobster and Curry, it's a bit salty for me.

+5I am from America originally and I would fly to Italy just for this meal! It was one of the best I have ever had, and I have had the pleasure of eating at every 3 Michelin star restaurant in New York City. Every bite was delectable, exciting, and new which left the palette continually thrilled. The staff were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and elegant. I would HIGHLY recommend you letting them pick your menu and wine, they absolutely know what they are doing. I couldn’t be more pleased with this meal and I will recommend it to anyone who will listen.

This restaurant is a gem. The place is beautiful. The service is young and superb (Alex, Fabio and sommelier Patricio, bravo!). The food is a fusion of Italian and Asian flavors in perfect blend. Overall an experience to remember and a place to recommend.

Not what we were expecting based on other reviews. Very confusing fix menu. Super expensive wine list. Service was sometimes lacking. We had to ask for water and wine many times. Unacceptable for a Michelin starred restaurant. The combination of Asian flavors with Italian food did not impressed us at all. Overall very disappointing for the money we spent.

The service at Idylio was fantastic. The staff was very knowledgeable and discussed the nuances and background of the dishes and wines we tried. It really elevated the experience by helping us understand the Chef's thought process for the menu. The menu itself was a study in contrasts and everything superb. The chicken was the most flavorful I've ever experienced, and even the breads were creative and uniquely delicious.

This was my and my sister’s first Michelin star experience, and we were not disappointed. We chose Idylio after researching Rome-area restaurants and felt it fit our vibe best. We had also recently done a trip to Japan, where the chef has been trained, so we were intrigued to see how he showcases his experience. Chef’s marriage of Italian and Japanese food is genius. The 5 root pasta with caviar almost brought me to tears; it gave me the same feeling as crawling into a warm bed with clean pajamas after a relaxing hot bath following a long, cold day of skiing in the mountains. So comforting. And the sweet buffalo mozzarella was unforgettable for me, as well as some of the appetizers before dinner and between courses. Highly recommend Idylio!

Excellent meal and great experience at Idylio. We enjoyed every bite - the food was so creative, unique and appetizing - and the meal was well timed at a perfect pace that was neither too rushed or too slow. The staff was gracious and responsive, and each made sure we had a good experience. Thank you for an incredible meal - we'll be recommending Idylio to our friends who travel to Rome!

Food was fantastic! Deserving of another star!Staff was excellent with great wine recommendations! They however gave me wrong information that I couldn’t get Marriott Bonvoy points for my meal. The Pantheon hotel said that the restaurant should have informed them about my request and they could have credited my points before I had paid the restaurant directly…. If the front desk was telling me the truth that is and not trying to fub me off So if you’re a Mariott Bonvoy member and you’re not a guest of the hotel, it’s worth asking the front desk if your meal at the restaurant can be credited .

What a memorable dinner for my significant other and I. Alex was the best along with the entire staff. While the food was amazing it was accompanied by a perfect location that pays attention to every small detail. This is a must try event.

+4Very good service and food, particularly liked the appetizers and desert. Interesting wine pairings, my only negative would be I felt the sea bass entry was very lacking compared to the rest of the meal
