7.5/10The menu is diferent fron The menu on The fork, and also they don't do The menu offer. Supposedly Just for people working on The ztl. The food was ok but The Tiramisu was superb

Hi dear Luis. You booked your table with 40% discount with thefork. While you wanted to do lunch menu which costs 15 euro. We explained that you cannot do both. The point is that with your 40% you payed less than you would have payed with a lunch menu which is for clients who work near us and come for lunch regularly. Again , we are very sorry for this misunderstanding and hope to see you again!

10/10A wonderful, slightly away from the bustling crowds, we had a wonderful dinner sat outside and under the vines. Our host was very helpful with a great recommendation of a white wine from Lazio (I will be buying this again) and even provided use with a couple of personal fans as it was very hot and humid outside. The amatriciana di polpo was fabulous! Really recommend this restaurant and will return when back in Rome.

10/10Small intimate restaurant away from the hustle and bustle. Great service. Food is made with simple fresh ingredients that allow you to enjoy every bite. One person in our party has a nut allergy and the restaurant was very attentive to this need. Came here 20 years ago and the food today was as good as we remembered it being back then. Will definitely be back

10/10Amazing food, I’ve already been there twice and I think it’s one of the best restaurants in Rome, especially for its Oxtail Rigatoni!!! Also, the staff is really nice and amicable. 100% recommended

10/10Places like il Bacaro are why I keep coming to Rome. In a quite little square close to yet at the same time far away from the tourist crowds. My son and I received a warm welcome from the lovely hostess/server. She spoke beautiful English but still let me try out my Italian. The menu was not huge, but that shows that chef wished to concentrate on a limited number of dishes on a given day. Most of the Roman classics were there, some with an innovative touch such as the addition of truffles to the carbonara or using octopus instead of guanciale for the Amatriciana. The food was well-prepared, hot and delicious. We had a relaxing time enjoying a pasta dish complemented by a lovely red wine from Sicily. We felt no pressure to order more food than we wanted. We came away from Il Bacaro with a great feeling. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to go back.

10/10Just around the corner from a bustling more touristy area, Il Bacardo is a gem! We saw the recommendation in Frommer’s and don't regret the choice. We were greeted by the chef (owner?) who talked about gathering their truffles with his dog that morning- who could resist? Food and wine were phenomenal, atmosphere was perfect - dining al fresco under grapevines and people watching.

10/10We had a memorable dinner at I’ll Bacaro. We were greeted at the entrance by our server, who offered either an outside or inside table, before reviewing the night’s specials with us. Once we had ordered, she recommended a local wine to accompany our food. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and great R&B classics playing in the dining room. The food was outstanding, from the first dishes of Carbonara and Gricia, to our second dishes of Sea Bass, and Roasted Octopus, topped with saffron. The wine selection paired nicely with our dishes. Dessert was Tiramisu and Chocolate cake., with Espressos. We had a great dinner at I’ll Bacaro!

10/10In a lovely, calm spot away from the neighborhood’s more typical hustle and bustle, we had a delicious meal served with friendly warmth. The chef came to our table to describe the evening’s specials with enthusiasm, and the menu was varied enough for meat and fish lovers as well as vegetarians.

10/10This lovely intimate restaurant gives off a friendly glow from the twinkling lights at the end of a short passageway. The delicious menu is short (a good thing!) but there is something for all tastes We had the baccala and warm octopus salad to start, followed by a delicious pumpkin gnocchi with sausage (which we shared) then rabbit and duck for main. The wine list is big and has a great selection of wines from some little known vineyards too, at very good prices. The staff were lovely and happy to help with menu choices. A fantastic gem, hidden away, near the very heart of Rome!

10/10It was one of the best meals i’ve had in Rome!! The service was great, it was my friend’s birthday and they made it very special. The food was amazing, I will be telling all my friends to come here. The appetizer with cheese, egg yolk and truffle is a MUST! 😍 definitely will be coming back many times

10/10I come to this restaurant every time I’m in rome. The terrace is adorable with perfect lighting, and it’s on a super quiet street which is lovely. The food is delicious. The people who run it are so nice. HIGHLY recommend !

10/10We loved Il Bacaro! The host/waiter was just lovely and very attentive. It's wonderful to escape the crowds of the center of Rome by just turning a little corner, sitting under a lovely green canopy, and having a moment of quiet and fantastic food to yourselves.

10/10Awesome little restaurant on side street near Piazza Navona. Great food, and superb service. We were seated outside in a little street, but when it began to rain, we were rushed inside with other customers and the staff continued to assist happily. Food was outstanding, especially the seafood (octopus) and the beef cheek. Top notch experience, and high recommend!

10/10We first visited Il Bacaro 10 years ago, and had a memorable meal. This past weekend, we were back in Rome and decided to revisit the restaurant. Happy to say that the new owner, Frederico, kept the traditions of the restaurant. Outstanding Italian cuisine, with a modern flair. Each dish the four of us ordered was truly outstanding. Our server, Veronica, was so friendly and helpful in pairing the proper wines from their extensive wine list to the courses. It is often hard to compete with a memory, but our diner and experience was first class. Located on a quiet street near the hectic Pantheon, we were able to eat outside in total comfort. Bravo !!!
