Food was delicious. People who worked here was very polite and there was such a great atmosphere. This place is located in the centre but this small street is so quite and it was very nice here. Tiramisu was excellent :)

The waiter in charge tried to get away with charging full procent although the confirmation mail deckares 50% off all good on the á la cart meny. Bad!

I went there with my friend who came from qatar and we love the place, we sit outside and was so nice ambiance. I ate carbonara and she ordered beef. They bring patato plate for her and lots of diffirent bread spieces. It was on very nice calm little street, there was not much car or people. The location was amazing, was close to trevi fountain and everwhere. Food came fast and hot, carbonara was very delicious. My friend loved her food too. Wasitress was very nice and came to checked if food is good and everything is fine. I would deffinetly recommend.

We ordered a mushroom soup, a clam pasta and wild boar. All the meals were well made and tasted wonderful. For dessert we had crunchy black cherry and Tiramisu, which was probably the best I've ever had. The service was impeccable and the environment quiet. A perfect dinner.

The deal was great, and without the discount the place would have been quite pricy. The meat was salty but overall great experience

One of the best restaurants we ate at while in Rome. The staff were friendly and attentive. It’s also nice that it’s off the main roads so we were able to enjoy a nice meal without being right next to auto traffic. A great place to talk and enjoy a wonderful meal together!

Our visit didn’t get off to the best of starts: our booking was for 19:00 but the restaurant didn’t open until 19:15! But the waiter was friendly and very attentive. We had an excellent fettuccine al salsa di cinghiale to start. The pasta was perfectly al dente. My partner would have preferred the parmigiano served separately as she doesn’t like cheese, but that’s a small point. The main was saltimbocca, beautifully cooked and served with roast potatoes. Delicious! My dessert was a wonderful tiramisu served in a cocktail glass, very rich and creamy. We didn’t order vin santo and cantuccini - they were on the house. When I paid the bill and left a tip the waiter brought a top-up of vin santo! We had eaten at Il Buco many years ago and were delighted to find it as good as we had remembered. There was even one of the waiters from our previous visit still there. Highly recommended.

The veal was excellent but my paparadelle was undercooked and the hare dressing uninteresting—the wild boar dry and unappetizing, the pate inedible—other pasta dishes were ok —we will not return

We were exhausted after our travels from Canada with very little sleep and then a day of touring. We were exhausted but looking for some comfort food and a relaxing evening. Il Buso was just that. The food was delicious and plenty, and oh the “wine”and the atmosphere was fabulous. I’m not sure if it was the owner that was looking after us but he was amazing and so was the other server. They treated us wonderfully.

Food was good, but the restaurant was so very quiet on Valentine's Day, which made the room pretty uncomfortable. No music in the background softly playing. Just silence in a small room. Everyone could hear everyone else's conversation as if they were at the same table. Service was good, server was kind, and generally it was a good dinner, but the ambience could use a little work.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant near our hotel on our first night in Rome and loved it SO MUCH that we ended up coming back for a second time during our five day stay. The food itself is INCREDIBLE--we had the carbonara and amatriciana and they were both perfection as was our tiramisu dessert. We had the same waiter both nights we stopped by and he was very warm and friendly. The house wines were also very good. Honestly this was our favorite dinner in Rome and now that we are back at home we both wish we had gone back in for a third time. We ate at many highly rated restaurants on our trip and Il Buco still stood out as our favorite :) we will definitely be back the next time we visit Rome!

This place is a little gem. Been here twice and it was perfection both times. The service is deliberate and the food is incredible. The waiter gave us great conversation on the menu items and exhibited enough detailed knowledge as to explain exactly how the dish was prepared. We will be going back.

This place was incredible. I can't believe how big of a discount they were offering on the fork, so very worth it. Our server Alfredo was so welcoming and thanked us for being there. We had a very late reservation at 22:30 and we were the only table there so we tried to be quick but they were so inviting and didn't rush us at all. The rabbit and the ravioli were both outstanding, best rabbit I've ever had. Maybe I would skip the Guinea fowl next time but only because everything else on the menu was so fantastic.

My wife and I really love Il Buco and this year we came to Rome with friends and they also were greatly impressed with the friendliness of the waiter staff, quality of the food, delicious meal, wondrous presentation, excellent wine choices and overall marvelous evening. It may be small but that is made up for by character, quality and the cozy environment. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable Tuscan culinary experience.

Thanks to the Fork I found this good restaurant. I had lunch. The dishes are excellent and also the atmosfere is nice. Attentive service by real educated waiters. Homemade cooking and you feel it's cooked with love. Ravioli filled with brasato, topped with homemade tomatoe sauce. Rabbit with truffles and crispy polenta. The only delusion were the prices for drinks, which were not listed on the menue. I had asked for a glass of red wine and was offered from the house wine (bottle at 15€). On the cheque this glass of wine (between 0,125/0,15) was priced 6€ which is even for Rome expensive. The amaro, a digestiv, which in many restaurants is offered by the house or even a bottle placed on the table and you serve how much you like, was priced 7€. This, I talked later to a Roman, is overpriced. When paying the cheque (discount was applied automatically) the Lady owner explained that prices have gone up to so much. Yes, we all know, but I prefer not to have a discount on the food and not to be cheated on the drinks. Even the food was excellent, the location near Piazza Venezia and the Corso, I am not sure I will go back, if these were the correct prices and not a "mistake" to a tourist.

We were here yesterday evening. Cozy place with nice (and thank god not loud) music. We had wild-boar salami and ham and pici with wild-boar tomato sauce. Delicious. We tried then guinea-fowl with artichokes, grilled vegetables and tiramisu to close this nice dinner. Everything was fresh and home-made. If you look a way to escape from the tourist traps that are all around, that's the place for you!

Wonderful dinner! The waiter told us to try the season's mushrooms. We had ovoli mushrooms salad and fettuccini with porcini. Gorgeous! In this moments a vegetarian like me can show to her husband that you don't need meat! We were so satisfied that we ordered grilled porcini together with grilled vegetables and toasted bread. Everything was delicious. Wonderful dinner!

Perfect place to spend a romantic evening. The restaurant is 120 years old and magnificent. It's both a museum to visit and a temple for good food. Here you can discover the real Rome and not the fake tourist traps that are everywhere. The dishes are all home-made and not pre-cooked junk. We had tonnareli carbonara and cacio pepe that were the best I ever tried. Then we chose orange duck and porcini mushrooms. In the end a pistachio dessert. We had a perfect dinner and we'll defintely come back when in Roma.
