Service was attentive and informative but food was sadly lacking. Slightly gristly meat in the beef stew, poorly presented too, would have benefited from a tad longer cooking time, some more sauce and some fresh herbs to finish.
Il CastellettoMi dispiace Peter tu hai mangiato il peposo dell'Impruneta nella versione originale e non uno stufato all'inglese con le erbette. Mario te lo ha spiegato bene, ma se pretendi di cambiare anche le ricette della tradizione antica devi prendere altri piatti e altri ristoranti.

Family owned restaurant,very nice atmosphere with amazing view of the fortress of Colle di Val d’Elsa. Nice menu options with local sourced products and great wine selection.

Omg the best florentine steak ever!!!!! My son ate the whole thing . Their vegetable soup was delicious as their desserts of steamed tiramisu and berry cheesecake. If we lived here, we would def be back

It's the total experience of the high quality food, the friendly service and the beautiful location opposite the castle. Wonderful!

Suggestive location. Pleasant, competent and very helpful staff. Owner made himself available for a congenial conversation. Risotto and pappardelle cooked and seasoned to perfection. Good wine selection featuring Tuscan classics. Highly recommended. Complimenti!

Staff were not so experienced. Pasta was overcooked and dessert menu very limited and not so good. Fiorentina was tasty and good.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. We arrived before other guests so it was quiet. Our waiter was attentive. He anticipated our questions and had the answers.

This was a great find. We selected online based on other reviews and all 6 in our dinner party thought the food was excellent and at a reasonable price. The outdoor seating area is very nice with a great view of the castle.

The helpfulness of all the staff and especially Lorenzo, was quite amazing. He wanted to make sure all of us were happy with the food, service, wine and the ambience. A great evening dinner and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food, service and ambiance were all spot on. The owner has the most wonderful dog that they let us keep at our table while we ate. We lost our dog not long ago and miss having one around. The dog made friends with all who wanted a furry friend. Good English, wonderful recommendations for food and wine. What a lovely afternoon.

An awesome family-owned gem of a restaurant serving regional dishes, with a spectacular terrace overlooking Porta Volterrana. Best Florentine steak we had during our 10 day trip in Tuscany. To top it all off, wonderful service by the owner’s son, Lorenzo, taking pride in not only the local cuisine and region but also the history of the town. We were so enamoured that we came back for another evening of local culinary delights. Not to be missed if you’re in the vicinity!!

The food is Tuscan and stunning the waitress was outstanding. The restaurant is contemporary and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend.
