10/10Initially, when we arrived for our booking at 8.30pm, it was chaotic with people queueing up for tables and the staff seemed stressed and consequently quite unfriendly while cleaning and turning tables tables ready for the next round customers. We were quite abruptly asked to wait along with other bookings in the doorway with no space to stand and we were finally given our table almost 10 mins after our booking time. But, oh my, we quickly discovered that the excellent food and service made it well worth the wait and it was plainly obvious why they were so busy. Delicious! If we have the fortune of returning to Rome on holiday in the future, we will definitely go back to Il Colibri and we also recommend it to anyone looking for a great, family-run, traditional Italian trattoria!

10/10The restaurant offers quite extensive choice of meals and all the food we ordered was delicious. The choice of wine served in glasses is very limited, but the menu includes some wines in small bottles. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and tasty evening.

10/10I can’t recommend this place enough. The ambience created by the owner and all the pics and art on the walls from his years at Il Colibri nearly make this place worth a visit on it’s own. It’s so colourful and warm, we went for dinner twice within four days. The pasta with truffles was excellent, the red house wine was a gorgeous bottle from Montepulciano, the tiramisu was amazing, and we were even convinced to try the grappa and limoncello. A really delightful evening! Their pizzas seemed popular, and they have some house specialities on a separate menu too that changes frequently.

10/10Great Service and atmosphere. We really did enjoy our time there. There was little misunderstanding about one of our order (Polish version of Menu is a little bit missleading, because of that one of our dish we get wasn't exactly what we expected), but Guys handle it really professional. It is worth while and we can highly recommend visit there. We were in couple of restruan in Rome - this is the Best.

10/10Excellent Roman restaurant. Grilled fresh mushrooms as a starter: What a treat! Good wine selection. We have been served by the owner himself. We came to that area, which is near the vatican and hence full of tourists, because after dinner we went to the movies nearby.

10/10I have visited Il Colibri many times. The service and the food tonight were both excellent. We had a great meal and were served very well. The sea bass was really good, and the puntarella were excellent. We had a wonderful time at a very friendly and cordial restaurant. The cook did an excellent job this evening.

Warm greetings and service! Excellent seating location. Am azing smoked salmon with warm mozzarella to share. Grilled sole and shrimp were tasty. Don't miss the fresh berry Panna Cotta! A happy atmosphere!

8.5/10A great spot for our lunch before our Vatican tour. The restaurant is a far enough away from the Museum to allow some space from crowds but close enough to allow us to reach it after a 10 minute walk. Has outside seating - we made reservation for our party of 4.

10/10This little restaurant was recommended by our AirBnB host we dined two nights in a row . The inside had bright paintings and bright tablecloths . We enjoyed our dinners . The chefs beef with truffles and mushrooms was fantastico! Desserts and appetizers so lovely . Family owned highly recommended!
