We walked past this restaurant many times during our stay in Rome and it was always packed. Figured out that a reservation was the only way to ensure a table for dinner, able to book Sunday night on Saturday afternoon. Very good food at excellent prices. Attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere. Wine available in full and 1/2 bottles. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I ate at Il Colibrì twice during a brief visit to Rome. Our first meal was dinner one evening. We had no reservation but were able to be seated quickly. We reserved for lunch 2 days later. Both meals were delicious, and the staff were pleasant both visits. I look forward to dining here in a few months with friends.

+3The owner is a lovely men. Together with his team he created a restaurant where you will fell like home. We really enjoyed the visit and we hope to come back when we are back in Rome. They have great home-made Limoncello! Greetings from the 3 Polish amigos! Wish you all the best!

Initially, when we arrived for our booking at 8.30pm, it was chaotic with people queueing up for tables and the staff seemed stressed and consequently quite unfriendly while cleaning and turning tables tables ready for the next round customers. We were quite abruptly asked to wait along with other bookings in the doorway with no space to stand and we were finally given our table almost 10 mins after our booking time. But, oh my, we quickly discovered that the excellent food and service made it well worth the wait and it was plainly obvious why they were so busy. Delicious! If we have the fortune of returning to Rome on holiday in the future, we will definitely go back to Il Colibri and we also recommend it to anyone looking for a great, family-run, traditional Italian trattoria!

The restaurant offers quite extensive choice of meals and all the food we ordered was delicious. The choice of wine served in glasses is very limited, but the menu includes some wines in small bottles. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and tasty evening.

I can’t recommend this place enough. The ambience created by the owner and all the pics and art on the walls from his years at Il Colibri nearly make this place worth a visit on it’s own. It’s so colourful and warm, we went for dinner twice within four days. The pasta with truffles was excellent, the red house wine was a gorgeous bottle from Montepulciano, the tiramisu was amazing, and we were even convinced to try the grappa and limoncello. A really delightful evening! Their pizzas seemed popular, and they have some house specialities on a separate menu too that changes frequently.

Great Service and atmosphere. We really did enjoy our time there. There was little misunderstanding about one of our order (Polish version of Menu is a little bit missleading, because of that one of our dish we get wasn't exactly what we expected), but Guys handle it really professional. It is worth while and we can highly recommend visit there. We were in couple of restruan in Rome - this is the Best.

I enjoyed it with my wife and child, The waiters are very commited to their job and we felt welcomed. The place is good looking too

Excellent Roman restaurant. Grilled fresh mushrooms as a starter: What a treat! Good wine selection. We have been served by the owner himself. We came to that area, which is near the vatican and hence full of tourists, because after dinner we went to the movies nearby.
