After a rainy evening visit to the Basilica de Sacre Coeur my two teenager daughters and I visited Il Duca, which I had booked through The Fork. As three females travelling alone I was keen to find somewhere close to the Abesses metro station so that we'd have a straight forward trip back to our hotel. Il Duca had good reviews and my girls both love Italian food so it seemed a good option. Il Duca is a gorgeous little restaurant with welcoming and cozy ambiance, the staff forgave my terrible attempts at French and gave us an English menu. We shared calamari and bruschetta for our starter. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best calamari I have ever tasted - cooked to perfection with a light batter. The bruschetta was also delicious - we went for the large size, which was very generous - we could have managed with the small I'm sure! However we ate it all as the tomatoes were just divine. For main course I had sea bass and the girls both had lasagne - all top notch.

Great tasting food at great prices. Convenient pre-show dinner for Moulin Rouge, or after a long walk around the Montmartre art district. The food was classic hearty Italian fare, with a little surprise twist of citrus and herbs. Definitely try it if you're in the area.

It was really a pleasure to have dinner at Il Duca. To start we had a petite Bruschetta with Mozzarella which was a pretty big load. As main dish we had Pasta with Gambas and a Gorgonzola Burger, which were really tasty. The service was nice with a lot of smiling. Would go there again. Better make a reservation.

We have been coming to this montmatre restaurant for years and the quality of the food never disapoints!our favourite pasta is the scoglio (prawns,mussels,scallops and squid in a white wine sauce)generous portions and reasonable prices

Food is still supreme. We arrived 30 minutes earlier and the manager promptly received us. Only point to improve: we were gently pushed out at the end of our meal by the waitress who brought us the bill without our request. Good place, I recommend it!
