Good lunch to start our day in Florence

It was a cute little place. I reserved for my final night in Florence. Unfortunately, It was a disappointment. I ordered the T-bone, which had zero flavor and was extremely fatty. Also ordered roasted potatoes that were soft and greasy. The wine was mediocre as well.

It was 50th birthday and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed from your wonderful staff.The atmosphere was amazing and the waiters were so attentive and handsome.🤩And the food was excellent,such a fantastic evening

As soon as we entered, we were welcomed in and was told to treat the restaurant like our home when we asked to take photos of the restaurant. Atmosphere was homey yet elegant at the same time. Bistecca alla Florentina was excellent and it was great to be able to share a 500 grams steak meant for one person without feeling awkward about it. Great service, wonderful ambience and delicious food! A must go to in Florence!

The service is excellent. We ordered a bottle of wine, but we were not quite satisfied with it after tasting. The managet immediately found us another bottle of red wine at the same price for us to try and offered a free replacement. The steak was delicious and generously portioned. We were also given a complimentary dessert wine after the meal. It was indeed a wonderful dinner.

The t-bone steak is really good. Truffle pasta smells really good, too. The spritz was also the most delicious thing I've ever had in Florence. All the staff were nice, and they were sociable with my kids. 100% willing to revisit.

Each of us really enjoyed our meals - pasta with wild boar was a standout and polenta appetizer. Absolutely loved the candlelit ambiance (real candles!) - will be back before our trip is over. Highly recommend.

The food was good. The service was a bit rushed and some food was taken away before we finished. Also, we didn't get the 30% discount by booking through The Fork. We paid full.price. Not value for money unfortunately.

Service is so so T-bone was great But pasta is not up to standard

We found this restaurant 4 years ago and we go back every year, the service, the food, and the ambiance is fantastic! Since going every year on our yearly trips to Florence, the manager Klevis recognizes us of which I really appreciate. Nina our server was fantastic on a personal note.

The staff was extremely accommodating in cooking our Florentine steak little more to our liking. Anyone familiar with Florentine steak knows it is served very rare and the staff was wonderful about not making us feel uncomfortable with our preference.

We've been coming here for 8 years and it was always at the top of our list...a must visit for us, our family and friends. Sorry to say that the food quality and preparation has fallen drastically out of favour. Doesn't appear to be sufficient skill in the kitchen any longer. Beef and pasta dishes are poor and appetizers are tasteless and awkwardly presented. So sorry to see you go Il Paiolo...perhaps success has destroyed another Florence institution.

Food was delicious and we booked again before leaving the restaurant. Service was excellent and although it got very hot inside the restaurant they ensured air conditioning was turned on for us. We highly recommend! Thank you
