Booked last minute and got a table for myself. Was earlier so the restaurant was not crowded. Food is great, and people are nice too.

It was such a pleasure to come to this restaurant, first because the staff is so welcoming and helpful. The food is a delight and so is the wine! I will definitely come back next time I'll be in Florence!

I was served spoiled fish. I had to go to the bathroom nine times during the night. It also ruined my entire day today—I couldn’t use my pre-booked ticket to visit San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapel because the diarrhea only stopped late in the afternoon. I’m still extremely weak, and I wasn’t able to sleep.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They could not have been nicer. Excellent Caprese salad. Carbonara was full of wonderful large pieces of pork belly. Tiramisu was smooth and delicious. The atmosphere is noisy, but the food made up for it.

This was our third visit to Il Ricettario and again the welcome was warm, the service impeccable and the food and wine pairing wonderful. Thank you, for the best Carbonara I’ve enjoyed. We will definitely return.

A kind and perfect service. The taste of the food was also the best. A restaurant that I'd like to highly recommend.

Made a reservation for one for a Friday night dinner before a candlelight concert at a nearby cathedral. While this restaurant is clearly used to the throngs of tourists Florence gets, it's entirely authentic with reasonably priced food and wine. The quality of the dishes was *chef's kiss* and the service was stellar. I wish I'd gotten his name, but my waiter was so friendly and attentive to every single person that walked into that dining room. The eggplant parmesan and cacciucco were divine. I would definitely return to Il Ricettario!

We found the lighting overly bright, but we loved the food. Everything was absolutely delicious; however, we felt really shortchanged when we were served two rather small tail pieces of Mediterranean Sea Bass as our fish course. It really wasn’t okay, and we should have complained about it at the time. We didn’t want to make a scene, so instead we fumed about it and left feeling taken advantage of.

A friendly, cozy restaurant with good food and wine. Food is classic favorites. If ordering wine by the glass the waiter lets you taste and choose, which is nice.

Casual, homestyle cooking. Smaller menu but everything is very well made. Service is friendly and excellent. Always an enjoyable experience with an unbeatable location near the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.

Pasta and sauces made by hand, tastes like your Nonna made them. Great!

Best pasta we have enjoyed in Florence and the service attention was spectacular

A friend recommended from their time in Florence. Didn't look like anything special but we had wonderful, attentive service and amazing food. Was one of our favorite meals in Florence!

The visit was good and the food was also good, according to the review. Unfortunately, that's all. The salad already had black streaks, the ravioli was OK, and the lasagne wasn't like the lasagne you get in Italy. The taste was OK, but still much better than in some other restaurants in Florence.

The restaurant appears rather canteen like very warm ambience and attentive service the food was absolutely delicious felt that we were having authentic rustic Tuscan food- what a treat - well worth a visit

The Cookbook - A Tuscan education for dinner A little touristy? Yes, but in the best sense of learning about somewhere different. As the wonderful owner explained, Il Ricettario means The Cookbook, and the menu includes dishes from the main regions of Tuscany. A great place for children of all ages to learn deliciously.

This has been one of our favorite Firenze spots. Unassuming, but very good food and really hard-working talented staff. Even their table bread has flavor! (Rare in Tuscany)

the food is so delicious!

Food was good but I had not finished the starter when the main course arrived. I am used to tell the waiter in the U.S. to give me a break between courses but did not expect that I have to do this in Italy as well. Also, there was a continuous draft since the entrance door was open and I sat only 10 feet away from the door.
