The visit was good and the food was also good, according to the review. Unfortunately, that's all. The salad already had black streaks, the ravioli was OK, and the lasagne wasn't like the lasagne you get in Italy. The taste was OK, but still much better than in some other restaurants in Florence.

The Cookbook - A Tuscan education for dinner A little touristy? Yes, but in the best sense of learning about somewhere different. As the wonderful owner explained, Il Ricettario means The Cookbook, and the menu includes dishes from the main regions of Tuscany. A great place for children of all ages to learn deliciously.

Food was good but I had not finished the starter when the main course arrived. I am used to tell the waiter in the U.S. to give me a break between courses but did not expect that I have to do this in Italy as well. Also, there was a continuous draft since the entrance door was open and I sat only 10 feet away from the door.

The food is absolutely amazing here. We ordered eggplant parm, homemade spaghetti with garlic, Olive oil and red pepper flake. So simple but so delicious. And don’t forget to order the tiramisu. The waiters were great!

From arrival, staff were very warm and friendly. They were knowledgeable about all the food and drink. The standard of both the food and wine was excellent. We would definitely eat here again. Fantastic evening.
