10/10A true Roman gem! Staff could not have been more attentive, with a particular shout-out to Patrick and Carlo. Funny, multilingual, and appreciative of American music from the 70’s, we had an excellent experience. Highly recommend.

10/10Yes, it's a little restaurant, but the staff and food made such an incredible difference. Waiters Patrick and Sid were incredible and went out of their way to make our dining experience truly incredible. This restaurant is now a must on any return visit to Roma!

10/10Very great food. This is very special with local food. They deliver it very fresh and tasty. Sitting in front of the kitchen you can see how they are preparing and cooking the dishes. Only one comment: the wine card could be bigger.

10/10We had a fantastic time at Il Segreto! Carlos was an excellent host who greeted all guests, played awesome music, and answered all of our questions. We loved the open kitchen and cool atmosphere. Great food but even better people!!

9.5/10This was some of the best food we had in Italy! It is a small charming restaurant in a great location if you are staying near the Vatican. The staff was super friendly and the prices were reasonable considering the high quality of the food. Highly recommend the fettuccine carbonara. Best ever!!

9.5/10What a wonderful surprise! The best tiramisu I have ever had (and I have had lots, in Italy and abroad). The rest of the menu was wonderful as well, the tonarelli with raw gamberi was my favorite. The staff was delightful and sweet. I was shocked when I got the bill, so cheap! They could (and should!) charge more. We will definitely be back!

10/10What an amazing find after a long and stressful day of travelling! Researching on Google, this gem of a place showed up and booking was easily done in seconds with the Fork for a meal a few hours later. From the moment we wrestled with the sliding doors to get in, the owners hospitality radiated off all the walls! Eddie welcomed us in and took us to our seats and we all had a chat getting to know each other. And so the unwinding of a stressful day began… After taking our drinks order, taster glasses were served first which we didn’t realise until the big drinks came! Eddie explained the menu thoroughly and even my two teenagers were salivating! A surprise concoction from the chef before our starters, set the bar so high on flavours (especially with a 15 year old boy who doesn’t eat vegetables but who attacked this zucchini and aubergine ball with such fervour!) A hit for us - cod bites in batter were simply divine for starters (including the sweet red onion accompaniment) as was the calamari with a special mayonnaise so light and perfect. The steak is an absolute must as are all the desserts - tiramisu, cheesecake and chocolate cake, yes, we had them all! Miguel, Eddie, and the team (sorry we have forgotten some names!) have created an atmosphere of elegant yet relaxed dining served with sincere smiles and friendly conversation. They go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need and are having a good time and know about everything you are eating. We went back on our last night, my daughter could not finish her carbonara (serving sizes are very generous) and upon opening the takeaway box before bed, “Love Segretto” written on top made her smile! Cliche to say but our trip to Rome was made so much better by meeting Eddie, Miguel and the whole team. When we think of Roman food, we will always think of the best food we had in Rome at Il Segretto!

10/10Folks, go to Il Segreto! One of the best meals we've had in Rome in a long time. Excellent service (thank you, Eddie!) with real care shown about the food and presentation. Creative touches all through the meal, excellent recommendations, and a great ambience.

10/10This was a little out of our way, but 100% worth it. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious and so affordable. Their pesto will live on in my dreams. Definitely worth a visit!

10/10This is an excellent hole in the wall sandwich shop. The staff were lovely and had excellent service. The food was excellent and affordable. They regularly allow other guided tours, so clearly the locals agree!
