Dani, Princess, Patrick and John went above and beyond to provide a wonderful dining experience for us. The food and service at this place is exceptional. I highly recommend Il Segreto!

The carbonara was delicious. We also had the grilled octopus that was so tender and tasty. It was a little loud, but I guess it is a good sign that everyone was happy! 😀. Service was impeccable. I would highly recommend

10/10The food was impeccable. Service was great. Shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond for our family and even making sure our 1 year old feels comfortable. The bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella and carbonara were the standouts.

10/10This was the best service we had in Rome hands down!! Our server Daniel was so attentive and kind. The food was excellent and a good portion. I could not suggest this restaurant enough! Also when one of us forgot a book, another server ran far down the block to bring it to us. Unbelievable!

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Danny, who took care of our table with genuine attentiveness. He went above and beyond to make our two children feel special, offering them a thoughtful welcome drink and surprising our table with a delightful appetizer. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was equally enjoyable, but what truly set this experience apart was the impeccable service. 9.5/10Il Segreto features expertly-crafted dishes in a small, fun setting two blocks north of Vatican City’s northern wall. A wood-fired grill makes for great roasted foods (octopus was superb), and the staff is young and hip but knowledgeable and attentive. It was an oasis after several hours of walking marble floors in the nearby Vatican Museums.

10/10one of the best meals we had in Rome, and the staff was very kind to us. i had the special, and it was excellent. i was a little nervous that our waiter was very talkative and boisterous at first (we are quieter folks, and were a bit tired for the whole song and dance), but he seemed to pick up on our vibe, calmed down, and was very helpful and sweet.

10/10Amazing place: delicious carbonara, great tiramisu, and cheesecake with raspberry sauce, paired with good wine. The decoration is nice and simple. The staff is absolutely amazing: customer-centric, kind, friendly, funny, and genuinely interested in meeting customers' expectations. I will definitely go back there!

What a fantastic lunch and great staff! Would 110% recommend this terrific place. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff and service are also top notch. You can see the kitchen from the tables and their chef was certainly fun to watch. She made us such delicious pasta she gets 10 stars from us. My sister, niece and I went for lunch here before we stopped at the Vatican and I am sure glad we did. If you are thinking of doing the same then make a reservation and enjoy! It seems like they also do some cooking classes so maybe check that out too as I am sure it would be fun. Next time I am in Rome I will be coming back to Il Segreto. Thanks for the delicious and memorable lunch in Rome.

10/10Our host, Jack, was a wonderful and welcoming waiter who anticipated our needs and was very accommodating to our poor Italian language skills. The food was fantastico! We received a complimentary wine, and several other surprises during our dining experience. This restaurant exceeded our very high expectations. Dine here if you can while in the Vatican area.
