9/10It’s a rare occurrence these days where you discover so many positives come together when dining out/ & here the calm & quiet environment is comfortable & relaxing, the wait service professionally friendly & prompt - & most importantly > the modern Tuscan cooking very nearly hits every top note perfectly. Wow. I had but few personal disappointments & mostly thrilling food at reasonable prices. The pigeon main a standout - it was stunningly achieved rare , being luxuriously accompanied with a slightly sweet sauce that ensured this dish was deliciously balanced…simply perfect. Bravo! The wine card is extremely good in its range & we were astounded to be able to select a superior nest decade-aged Umbrian red for under €50 ! My quibble here though is that surprisingly they’ve only two fairly ordinary reds pouring by the glass- but when the bottled wine is as good as we enjoyed at such a reasonable price point- maybe I should just go quietly here! Highly recommende

10/10Stellar tasting menu that allowed for flexibility with each course. Every dish was superb with great plating & inventive combinations, and best of all extremely good flavours. Somm was also very knowledgeable and gave us some great local glasses to try. One of our favourite spots in Florence!

My wife and I had a great experience! Everyone who served us was very welcoming and helpful. We opted to order à la cart vs the tasting menu. I had pasta, octopus, and my wife elected for two pasta dishes as she didn’t care for any of the 4 main course offerings. Something to note is the menu is limited with 4-5 options for each course. I appreciate a limited menu but if you prefer many options you may want to consider dining somewhere else. All three of the pastas were excellent! The octopus was some of the best I’ve had. We shared a cheese plate and a dessert along with a bottle of wine recommended by the waiter. The wine was a cab franc from a small vineyard. Our bill came to 160 euros. All the dishes looked exactly like the photos and were visually pleasing! The restaurant is small som you will want to make a reservation as all the tables were full. This was our first meal of our trip to Italy so I can’t compare but if our other meals are as good as this we are in for a treat!

9.5/10The quality of the food was excellent, in flavour, presentation and creativity. The service was attentive but respectful. The house wines were lovely. Such a good change from the compulsory nonna's traditional found in most places. Bringing bread with each course was a nice touch.

10/10Excellent food with equally superb service. We did the 4 course tasting menu and it was fabulous. The amberjack ceviche and Mackeral risotto were particularly good. Great wine recommendations too. Would definitely recommend - make sure you book.

2/10These people have such egos. Not only was the food terrible, the service is abysmal. Full on regret trying this place and I really wanted to like it.

Dear Gustav, from the moment you sat at the table (showing yourself from the start to be a rather impolite person), you insisted several times on having a six-course tasting menu while the person with you wanted to order à la carte. We replied to you several times that this was not possible, also offering the option to compose the tasting menu as you wished with one different dish of your choice. But this was not acceptable to you and from there, like a spoiled child, you displayed all your dissatisfaction. Sometimes (like all human beings) we make mistakes and we are the first to accept criticism when it is constructive and justified. in Italy there is a proverb that says: 'sometimes staying silent makes a better impression.'...

+4No wonder why this place is so highly rated! This is just on of the most amazing escape in Firenze! Wonderfull cuisine, inspired by the chef mixing the Italian roots to his own experience! We came 10 years ago and absolutely wanted to come again, and this was even better! Food is iconic, wine selection was just a unique experience... actually no words can describes... you may try it yourself! Big applause and thank you! For the record we were 2 and had: 2 starters, 2 primi, 3 main and 3 desserts as it was so good! Merci et Chapeau

10/10Little Gem , if you want to get away from the madness of the city center , then go and the guys from IO Osteria , outstanding value for money , the 2 waiters are so friendly and offer great advice for the dishes and the great wine combinations , a great atmosphere , the desserts are to die for 😋😋😋😋😋
