Food was ok, but... If one has to wait 35 to 45 minutes between courses at least I get bored and just want to get away. Worst experience so far in a star restaurant.

Everything, and I mean everything, about my dining experience was incredible, start to finish. Seldom, if ever, I might return to the same restaurant two days in a row. Guess what? I’m going back to Joelia tomorrow for another amazing dining experience.

One of the best meals we've ever had. The food was delicious and inventive and the service was top notch. The servers were knowledgeable about the food and the extensive wine list.

Joelia is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Rotterdam. Led by the incredibly talented Chef Sofian, this Michelin-starred restaurant delivers food that is as beautiful as it is delicious. Every dish is crafted with precision, creativity, and top-quality ingredients, making each bite an experience in itself. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and the service is spot on. If you’re looking for a place that truly showcases culinary excellence in Rotterdam, Joelia is the place to be!

We went there for our wedding anniversary. The waiter confirmed our dietary requests, of which I said no red meat. This was the same request I placed in the online booking and confirmed via phone when they called the day before our reservation. Each course tasted as though it was a different fish/meat served in the same brown sauce. One of the courses, they served me calve. I had to explain to them I requested no red meat. 20 minutes later I was served my course. Very disappointing experience, considering the price we paid. We have eaten at other Michelin star rated restaurants in Rotterdam where I've made the same request. No one ever got it wrong.

A haven for foodies with a very good wine list to choose from. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Great to have a sommelier who was so knowledgeable. A great way to spend an evening!

Very good food, complex deep flavours served impeccably. The wine arrangement complimented the dishes extremely well. Well worth a visit or two....

We were nicely welcomed in the restaurant which is cosy inside though from the outside doesn’t appear so. The personnel was friendly and running a lot. They could me more attentive in some cases since for example we had to ask for more water rather them asking us. The food though was excellent, very tasteful and nicely presented.

Fantastic dinner. Excellent service with good explanations of the food in English. We are sure to come back. The wines included in the arrangement were also very special.

Place is good. They charged us something out of the menu and they never told us. So bad communication. The rest was ok and the place is very nice. Sad to have that stain on such a place.

Quite a few things got forgotten completly or only provided after asking twice. Food was absolute top. 10/10. service not attentive and didnt know the menu well. Pretencious rather than honest.

Very Nice experience. Service is maybe a little bit too fast when you take the courses with wines arrangement (less wines may have been a good idea : 4 for 6 courses is in my opinion large enough) That is true that we arrived late as well but such good food deserves time to appreciate. Nevertheless we loved it.

I had a five course dinner in the restaurant, with a small bottle of wine. This is costing a fortune (and it was not the most expensive bottle). The food was very good. I started with a nice lobster dish which was very well prepared. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the menu, whilst the others were not bad, they were also not of the great quality of the first. Next cellery and truffle, followed by scallops, then fish and finally beef with ravioli. Service is friendly.

The worst food ever eaten at a Michelin star restaurant ever. We had to ask if the Chef left! Extortionary prices, the truffle risotto was uncooked and had no truffle whatsoever, just lent

Best succulent wagayu beef (4+ rated) ever in a warm and Personal setting. Great team led by topchef Mario. Eye for detail and fun (love their homemade fries served with 'Marionaise')! Don't forget to try the Tamaral Verdejo.

We had lunch today, just after the official opening. The food was as we expected from Mario ... excellent. The attention of waiters was very good, although more attention was paid to alcoholic beverages than the non-alcoholic ones (we had to pour our own water). We'll be back to try their dinner.
