8/10Dinner im Joia … great food, mediocre service and terrible noise level. First, the food is great and the Menu d’ Helene was excellent for our party of 4 - we would certainly come back for that! But, while the sevice was attentive and friendly, the standard was poor - often plates were cleared while one of us was still eating, etc. The worst was the noise level was unacceptable - either such reputable restaurant should not accpet a group of 20 Americans to spoil the evening for everybody else, either by placing all other guests on the ground floor or by compensating other guests. TIP: Insist on a table downstairs, or pack up and leave ….

10/10We did the blind tasting menu with the wine pairing. Both the food and wine were excellent. The service was great and there is a cool bar upstairs where we finished the evening with a night cap. We highly recommend this place and the experience.

7/10Having known Helene Darroze since Rue d’Assas and The Connaught I booked once again to go to Joia ( a brave outlet in a less than salubrious area ) . As a single diner booking through the Fork , I was not permitted to dine in the lovely first floor room , as I have previously, and had to take a table in the tapas canteen on the ground floor. The food was as good as expected and I had a lovely service from ( a trainer ?) waitress who was delightful. Maybe not the place for sole diners ?

10/10We had a really good time at Jòia. We went there for the Sunday brunch and the overall experience was really good. The food is tasty, the service was very good and the room is very cosy.

+1Chef Helen Darroze is a talented and creates delicious dishes by combining flavors in a unique way. Chef was so kind and humble. She personally checked on us. As they were out of a few dishes on my list to try, we cannot wait to return. I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!

Lovely ambience and great food. Servers were friendly but not over friendly which we like. Just a bit of a shame there were lots of flies flying around the food and two even went into my wine, lol. Other than that, vibes were great and food was delicious and drinks were good too, good value for money for sure for the omakase dinner for two.

7/10For a restaurant in a certain price range it is not fitting to send your guests away after two hours. It makes the dinner hasty and the urgency was noticable from the start. We had to order quickly and the main course was served immediately after the starters. There was not en light time for dessert or coffee. The good was fine but all things considered not worth the price.

5.5/10We went as a group of 3. Some dishes were really good, like the risotto and the octopus. when we proceeded to main, we ordered 3 and only 2 came . We wanted to have a green salad tossed (off menu) to balance the heavily meaty courses and couldn't. So ordered the only vegetarian main which was a Barley dish.. It came tasting very similar to the risotto dish - as the menu isn't big, at least the waiting staff could have pointed that out for us. The 2nd main that came was a pork chop that was so tough. Disappointing in general. Plates were being cleared when we were still chewing and this happened a few times. . That didn't seem like very attentive service at all. We discussed our expereince with the staff and they offered a dessert to say sorry. Though it isn't about this is it. We came from Hong Kong for work. Many restaurants have far superior food , service and ambience as a whole at a similar restaurant rating.

I had high hopes for this place but neither the food or service was nice. Sad asparagus soup entry, dry and Chewie lamb and a tasteless chocolate dessert. It was edible but very mediocre. Not once did I get a smile from anyone except the runner bringing the food, he was very nice. No questions whether I liked the food or not. Would not recommend this place, there are other so much better restaurants like la scene theleme or mieux for the same price point. Wanted to go to marsan but after testing out this spot I’m not so sure anymore

9/10In France for New Years Eve and we get to have brunch in this beautiful place. Yet, although they had announced that a fix menu could be selected for us this day, we never expected a 6 course meal well beyond our comfort zone. I get it, you need to try new stuff when you are traveling, but perhaps just as the restaurant anticipated this day as a special day with a fixed menu, a lot of turists could be anticipated as well and more globally diverse/inclusive menu could be proposed.

7.5/10To be honest the food was nothing special. The cocktail ( lady spritz) was ok but in a bar I would have returned it. The food was ok but much less then expected in such a restaurant The only highlight was the chocolate creme brulette Overall very dispointing and no recommendation

4/10I reserved several days before but when my family and I arrived the hostess gave us an apart table. Although we spoke with the perdón in charged nothing happened and we had to go to another restaurant.
