4/10The meal was terrible. The endive and blue cheese salad was swimming in (a not tasty) salad dressing. The steak was huge but tasteless, the cassoulet was burnt and the duck was swimming in a brown sauce. Also, the restaurant attracts Americans; the room we were in was all Americans. Perhaps the French know something that we unfortunately didn't before we made the reservation.

7.5/10Lost much of its charm and is now almost all tourists. I think the food has suffered as a result. The wine list and prices appeared to be much higher than on past visits, and I doubt if locals would pay those prices. My first visit it was about 20-25% tourists - now almost 90-95%. I'm not against tourists - but I find it is local patronage that drives the quality of the food (and the prices on the wine list).

8.5/10Terrific food. Ambiance - foreigners, specifically Anglophones, are contained in a Siberia in the rear corner of the restaurant, not life-enhancing. Reserve in the main dining area. Impeccable boeuf bourgognon, soufflé Grand Marnier, costly wine list. Cute servers.

10/10This is one of our very favorite restaurants in Paris. We have been coming here for many years. The food is always outstanding, particularly the Boeuf Bourguignon and the Grand Marnier Soufflé. Service is excellent and while the ambiance is that of a comfortable old shoe, it somehow is comforting that it doesn’t change.

9/10The food was amazing, one of our best meals in Paris! There were only 3 servers in the restaurant, and service was somewhat inattentive, but the excellent food made up for it.

3/10The food was overpriced for how mediocre it was. Very overpriced. The boeuf bourgignon was inedible. Tasted like vinegar. And something was wrong with every other dish except the Mille feuille. So disappointed. And confused.

9.5/10Their specialties are boeuf bourguignon and foie gras. I had both, and they were perfect. I see why this place is so popular with people from all over the world

9/10Love this restaurant, still going strong. The food was exceptional. They made a slight error with our order, but then comped us the wine. They have mellowed over the years!

9.5/10I have never had a better Confit de Canard in Paris. It is a place that is both unique and authentic. This is not a fancy restaurant, but it is a very good option if you are looking for real French confit de canard made in the old-fashion way.

10/10This is my go-to every time I'm in Paris. After regularly going for 20 years it still has the best beef bourgignon and duck confit in town.

5/10Steak was very bad cut—very tough even tho it was cooked medium rare. Quality was terrible. My Table was next to the bathroom so I could hear people going in and out throughout the meal. Never checked on me.

9.5/10As visitors from the US, we were looking for the quintessential old school French restaurant... and we found it! The restaurant screams traditional Paris, and although a bit worn, it just adds to it's charm. The wait staff was very friendly, and spoke good English, and our server recommended a tasty red wine (hint: Their wine list is only by the bottle but they do have wine by the glass). We ordered the langoustine appetizer, which was good. It seemed a bit under compared to lobster, but I've never had it so maybe that is the proper way to serve it. The stars, though, were our entries. Hubby ordered the beef bourguignon, which was so tender it simply separated with a fork. It is served with pasta, which is not traditional but was a great vessel for the delicious, wine-forward sauce. I had the cassoulet with duck confit, lardons, and sausage, with white beans, which was outstanding, especially the sausage. We ended with the Grand Marnier souffle, which is a must!

3/10There is a good reason that every patron in the restaurant was American. No self respecting Frenchman would be caught dead in this place. The food was abominable. I will not comment on the “service” because it was non-existent. The “house made” foie gras was served ice cold, almost frozen (which it probably was). Unspreadable and equally unpalatable. Served without bread (see service above). The famous morels were three limpid turds dropped on a plate and filled with sour stuffing that clearly tasted like it was past its sell by date. The pate de campagne was served equally cold, was under seasoned and presented without bread, mustard or cornichon. We had to ask for silverware and a napkin. The “confit” of duck was made a week ago and appeared to have been reheated in a microwave. The skin was flaccid but the meat (which was bone dry) was the temperature of molten lava. The steak tartar was good, way too much, should be served as an entree not a main course. Please eat somewhere else

9.5/10I had the very delicious Bouef Bouginon. Unfortunately my husband didn’t feel very well. Rather than cancel, we went but he wasn’t hungry. He just wanted tea. They wouldn’t allow us to take a table and order one meal so he ordered a dessert. It was a shame because he really didn’t want anything. Other than that, I really enjoyed my dinner.

10/10The beef bourguignon was very good as expected! The starter of gazpacho was an unexpected delight, it was delicious, especially if you like garlic. The highlight of our meal was dessert, the Grand Marnier Souffle was just wonderful, we shared it and loved every bite! Service was wonderful and friendly, and highly recommend this restaurant.
