Kabuki was phenomenal. Did the tasting menu and sat at the bar— staff were friendly and accommodating and food was delicious.

The service was so-so, but they wouldn’t call a taxi, the table was dirty, and there was no escort when leaving. Proper restaurants in Japan have far better hospitality.

If this had been asked, our team would of course have been happy to assist.Concerning the table cleanliness, maintaining a clean dining environment is a priority for us. Our team routinely cleans and checks tables before, during, and after service to ensure they meet our standards. For this reason, we were surprised to read your comment and will nonetheless review the situation with our staff. With respect to being escorted out, this is not a standard procedure in our restaurant. However, our team always aims to provide attentive and respectful service to all guests throughout their visit. Service was fantastic but the food was terrible. We were served cold miso soup. They brought us a new cup but wasn’t much better. The seaweed in the soup was very chewy. It wasn’t cooked properly. The fish in the sashimi and sushi didn’t taste very fresh. The little appetizers in the bento box were so tiny you would think they were made for little kids. And the mochi dessert was nothing to write home about either. It was not chewy like it’s supposed to be. What a huge disappointment this place was! I can’t believe they have a michelin star. I am now going to think twice about Michelin rating.

The food was good - but not spectacular for a one star restaurant. The interior design of the restaurant was a bit simplistic and lacked attention to detail and care. Service was good - but some details were not on point - eg hot towels came cold.

I visited Kabuki Lisboa for lunch last week and ordered the tasting menu. Overall, it was a great value and well executed. The bento box was the standout — beautifully presented, generous, and everything in it was delicious. The nigiri, rolls, and sashimi were all very fresh, with the exception of the otoro, which was oddly chewy and felt like a scrap piece rather than the quality you’d expect for that cut. The main issue, however, was the water. I asked multiple times for tap water. At no point was I told that tap water wasn’t available, nor was I told I’d be charged. Instead, I was poured one glass of water that I later discovered cost €5.50 — for a single glass — without any disclosure. I only noticed this after returning to the U.S. and reviewing my receipt. When I contacted the restaurant, there was zero accountability.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, our colleague forgot to do so. Please be assured that the team has been reminded and warned to ensure this does not happen again. During our discussion, we informed you that the refund could be processed via bank transfer. You requested an alternative refund method, however, this is not something we are able to accommodate, as we do not work with other methods. +9Kabuki is worth trying for its inventive Japanese–Portuguese fusion, though some pairings miss. We were three: two on the extended menu, one vegetarian. The opening bento box was the standout with balanced bites in a sensible order; the mini katsu sando was the highlight. Then came three tiny, slightly chewy chutoro pieces with daikon, followed by a modest recovery: akami with an umami sauce, though the white fish alongside added little. The crimson seafood rice dish was bold but very flavorful. I understand why it’s a constant on the menu. The nigiri, however, was the biggest letdown. A lovely otoro was dulled by caramelized sugar and toppings like foie gras and orange peel felt tacky rather than elevating the fish. Still, some mash-ups worked: the pastel de nata mochi was a clever, delicious finish. Service overall was warm and accommodating, but the ending felt rushed, with desserts arriving all at once instead of being paced.

The staff are very professional and welcoming and service was excellent. Design and ambience of the restaurant is lovely and very relaxing. I also liked the bright light from the windows. Food was delicious and plentiful. The executive lunch was quick and had a nice variety of food. Some of the sashimi was a bit stringy although good quality fish. And I suggest that they don’t leave the tempura soaking in sauce as it gets soggy. Very nice experience overall and I would go back!

We had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The only thing is that the waiting time for sushi could be a few minutes shorter. Other than that, visiting this place is absolutely recommendable.

We took the bigger menu and it was perfect. Portions are small but considering the number of moments, you will feel well in the end. Cocktails were good, pairing wasn’t amazing (too expensive for what you get). Staff: amazing. Very friendly and professional. Shoutout to Gabriel and Patricia :)

Regarding 49 euro lunch menu: The good: Starter “Bento Box” delicate and tasty; all food well explained. What wasn't: Main course “Sushi to Sashimi” okay but nothing special, the tuna wasn't particularly fresh; lunch at 49 euros wasn't great value for money; the suggested tip on the bill 10-20% plus extra reminders from the waiter was uncomfortable.

The food was amazing, with a tiny exception of an appetizer being too salty; we just could not distinguish the taste. The atmosphere was a bit …stiff. The waiters had a slight superiority attitude in their treatment of us. And a couple of tables were extremely loud. We were wondering why no one intervened… noise pollution was high…

The lunch menu was good and the service excellent. I was quite disappointed with the ambiente. All in all i think the lunch menu for 49Euros was not worth it, in my view. Will probably not come back.
