The food is good, but I am less enthusiastic about the place — on a lower level, with limited light and smoky air, with teppanyaki in the centre of the room.

Definitely not worth the price. We took the bento box. The chicken was completely raw, the salmon was cold inside and the tuna had zero taste. The sashimi was unremarkable and the fruit salad resembled a tasteless cafeteria salad. It reminded us of hospital or airplane food. The decor is dated but the service was good and friendly.

The best Japanese restaurant in town. With a plus, Tepanyaki chef Jimmy is not only excellent in food preparations. We also enjoyed his showmanship as well.

The food is great, the service too but the noise is unbelievable. Need to do something about the acoustic.

Taste was amazing. Ask for the chef Jaime, he is really good with great skills and a touch of humor. Highly recommended.

JAMIE was an excellent teppenyaki chef i would focus on chicken and shrimp next time instead of the mix grills - those were my fav proteins from all the ones i tasted rice was amazing

+3Authentic Japanese cuisine. Cooked right in front of us so we could tell the food used is fresh. The flame used when cooking the food was very impressive and the place had an extremely good atmosphere and friendly staff.

When sitting at the teppanyaki table, one expects cooking with show. Little fire, some play with the accessories etc. But not at our table. Just plain cooking. Wanna see show? Look at other tables. Fried rice not offered with sesame seeds, not well prepared nor seasoned. Plastic chopsticks. Fatty boarder between table and cooking area. Rather disappointing, especially considering the price paid.

Great restaurant, my second time visiting. Fantastic food and definitely worth getting the Teppanyaki experience for the show, you pay for it but it's worth it and you're rewarded with amazing food. My rating is 9.5 out of 10 because I had to ask to be put at a Teppanyaki grille despite asking for one on the booking, I was placed away from where the grilling was happening (although I did walk over and sit in one of the empty chairs) and I had to chase my bill a couple of times. While this means things weren't 100% perfect, they are very minor in the grand scheme of things and they definitely wouldn't stop me returning or from recommending to anyone passing through.

we went to a 'relax' business lunch. The food is very nice. The restaurant is lovely. The staff is helpful and accommodating to our requests. In all, we had a very nice lunch. Will recommend to others and come back again.

Come for the teppen yaki experience, stay for the service! We were treated extremely well from the greeting through to our masterful teppen yaki chef. If you're going the teppen yaki route and are with at least one other person, get yourself a mixed meat and a mixed seafood with the garlic friend rice addition.

We had a reservation for weeks. When we arrived, there were no other tables filled. We were guided to the worst table in the restaurant. When we asked for a different table, we were told that all other tables were booked! I suggested that, since this was a hotel restaurant, it was highly doubtful that each table had been specifically requested. After a 10 minutes and a bit of arguing, we were told we could sit at another table. The restaurant never filled up, the bad table was never used, and we felt as if we were being treated as second class citizens because we were Americans.

Very very good food. Service very friendly. Price is correct, although Chf 14.- for a glass if Gamaret is a bit expensive. Keep in mind this is not like a restaurant in Japan. It can be noisy. (There was a table of people bery loudly, too loudly, which would never happen in beautiful Japan).

Dylan was a fantastic host & Jamie really cooked delicious food for us. The sushi & accompaniments were fresh & well presented. The beef was fabulous.
