Excellent rendition of traditional Japanese Kaiseiki. I loved the sushi course ending to the savory part of the meal, in lieu of the traditional rice service. Will definitely be back.

First dish, the starter, was a huge disappointment. I still don’t get it why they serve it in such a good quality restaurant. Then you get some good dishes and another weak dish (in my opinion) which was the one that has carabineros foam on it. Then from the scallops onwards, pure heaven. All the dishes than came afterwards were 10/10. Best sushi I’ve had.

The food is top. Best Japanese in Portugal, as far as what is served, no doubt. This last time, I must confess that I left and I was not completely full, so not sure if they shouldn't increase a bit the quantity. Other than that, excelent!

We arrived five minutes before the meal and were welcomed with the warmest smiles. The kindness and care shown by the staff are incredible; you truly feel at home. We were seated and soon after had the best Japanese dining experience of our lives. The fish is unbelievably fresh, and the variety of different types and flavors is impressive. It was a privilege to experience something like this. If you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. The 9.9 rating doesn’t do justice to the quality of the food and the overall experience. This place deserves a full 10 out of 10. Thank you.

Fantastic seafood quality, perfectly quiet & intimate ambience, and attentive service. Also, the chef is very accommodating to a vegetarian diet, which is a rare find among Japanese restaurants. Well worth a visit for the kaiseki, despite the slightly remote location.

Amazing food, tremendous quality, at the level of the best Japanese you will find anywhere in the world! The atmosphere could be more interactive, a little less traditional, and more of a relation between the kitchen and the customers (which in the end is the whole concept of the restaurant). In my perspective there was missing the music, even if something very very shallow in the background. But overall a unique and very recommendable experience!

Kanazawa is the classical Japanese one counter restaurant. The chef is right there in front, personal service with inventiveness and ingredients of the highest order. This is a restaurant worth visiting every time the menu changes!
