9.5/10The food is top. Best Japanese in Portugal, as far as what is served, no doubt. This last time, I must confess that I left and I was not completely full, so not sure if they shouldn't increase a bit the quantity. Other than that, excelent!

We arrived five minutes before the meal and were welcomed with the warmest smiles. The kindness and care shown by the staff are incredible; you truly feel at home. We were seated and soon after had the best Japanese dining experience of our lives. The fish is unbelievably fresh, and the variety of different types and flavors is impressive. It was a privilege to experience something like this. If you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. The 9.9 rating doesn’t do justice to the quality of the food and the overall experience. This place deserves a full 10 out of 10. Thank you.

The ambiance is both authentic and welcoming, and the service is highly personalized, with careful attention to detail that makes each visit unique. 10/10Fantastic seafood quality, perfectly quiet & intimate ambience, and attentive service. Also, the chef is very accommodating to a vegetarian diet, which is a rare find among Japanese restaurants. Well worth a visit for the kaiseki, despite the slightly remote location.

9/10Amazing food, tremendous quality, at the level of the best Japanese you will find anywhere in the world! The atmosphere could be more interactive, a little less traditional, and more of a relation between the kitchen and the customers (which in the end is the whole concept of the restaurant). In my perspective there was missing the music, even if something very very shallow in the background. But overall a unique and very recommendable experience!

9.5/10Kanazawa is the classical Japanese one counter restaurant. The chef is right there in front, personal service with inventiveness and ingredients of the highest order. This is a restaurant worth visiting every time the menu changes!

10/10A sensational authentic experience. Finally real Japanese food and not adapted to our western plates. The place is minimalist with only 9 seats so be patient to get a reservation. A little easier to get a seat at lunch than at dinner. Ideal for 2 people as you eat at the counter, Japanese style.
