+4Very nice food and wines - nothing to put a finger on - for English speaking a bit difficult to understand the waitress when presenting the food. To quick to empty the table after each dish, it felt like it was in a rush.

I reserved a table by the window, which means an inside table, but we were led to an outside table, which was not expected by me because the weather was hot during the lunch time. However, the service is good.

9.5/10I love this restaurant. I dined here in 2022 and loved it so much that I went for lunch yesterday. I had the tasting menu with wine pairings. The decor is lovely, the service very good, and the dishes inventive and delicious. They were also a nice size, not too large, for me. Some Americans might find the portions too small, but for a tasting menu, I like to do just that: taste and not feel excessively full at the end of the meal. I highly recommend Keisuke Matusima Restaurant in Nice, France.

When I opened the door to the restaurant, I just fell in love with this place. It had a different vibe from other waterfront of nice. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. And each single dish had beautiful presentation. One of my favorite dish was fish dish. The sauce was flavory and it has good harmony with everything. The other dishes are also fabulous. From the Beginning to the end I also felt delicate service. It was such a magical night.

A Lovely quiet terrace, very attentive, although not stifling wait staff and the food as good as always. This is our third trip and we extol the restaurant’s virtues to whoever is going to Nice.

10/10First of all, I was glad to have sake Hakushu, the oyster dish was very appetizing and delicious (with a slight bite of shiso!!), and the veal steak and asparagus were tender and the seasoning and sauce were good! Vongole pasta was just so-so. There were two servers who were reasonably friendly and comfortable.

6.5/10Did not know before we arrived that all the seating was OUTSIDE. No mention on the website or when we booked. Cool evening and we were cold, as were other diners who asked for blankets! Very good food but uninspiring dessert.

4.5/10I’d been here about a decade ago and was looking forward to return visit. The restaurant looked exactly the same and a bit battered here and there. One of the plates on the table had obviously see the dishwasher too often. But that was fine. We decided to go with the ‘surprise’ menu option with wine pairings. The courses arrived with barely more than a one word description at times. The beef course was introduced as ‘beef’. That was it. Certainly a surprise I guess. The beef was actually the best course. The others ranged from okay to blech. One of the amuse Bouche tasters was like a socca that had sat out too long and dried out. The dessert was nearly tasteless. I so wanted to enjoy this meal, but felt it was tired, uninspired and we did not feel like valued patrons.

10/10This is a little gem of a restaurant set in a quiet pretty green square on Rue de France. It used to be a Michelin starred restaurant and the care and exquisite detail shows from this Japanese chef, the food is gourmet at reasonable prices, tasty & beautifully prepared. Despite the name it is not Japanese but modern French. We eat here every time we are in Nice.
