7/104 of the 5 chef's taster dishes were not Michelin-worthy, and only 2 of the 5 paired wines were worth a cheers. Staff and ambiance was at expected level. Overall significantly overpriced for the culinary experience. No 'magic' in the food, and unimpressive wine pairings.

6.5/10I liked the food, especially the pigeon breast. There was an attention from the staff regarding my birthday, but not in general. However the food in the experience plus menu, was not something wow or unbelievable, as I expected from Michelin star restaurant. It was simply good. I missed the choice of breads as well.

4.5/10Overall not a one star experience. We were served various kinds of bread with Sicilian extra verging oil and salted butter from Normandy – excellent! I then had raw red prawn as appetizer which was good, albeit minuscule. My husband had the chicken terrine with figs and raspberries – excellent again and perhaps the only dish this evening worth a Michelin Star. We both had bbq’d lobster as main dish, which was slightly overdone, with rather bland celery samosas and little carved pears as decoration plus a very ordinary hollandaise that didn’t really match with the lobster sauce. As to their policy they seem to be nudging diners to choose among one of their menus since a la carte portions are the same size as those from the menu. Therefore if you eat a la carte, I would recommend to have at least two starters followed by a primo and a secondo. And a last point: The rather young sommelier should perhaps ask what diners are going to eat before advising them.

10/10Beautiful weather helped but wine pairings with the 7 course meal was spot on! Food was exactly as described, flavorful and delicious. Terrific Saturday lunch experience!

8.5/10Great ambience in a beautiful garden in Tavernola, 10 minutes from Como city centre (8 minutes with the ferry). The service staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They never felt pushy when it cone to upsetting certain products, dishes or wine. Standout dishes were the "Scallop courgette & yuzu" starter and the "Cod tripe and caviar spagettone". It was my girlfriend's birthday so we were very happy with the last desert selection and the candles. Only criticism: Mosquitoes. It might be the season (August) and the flowers / garden doesn't help but I wish there was a solution to that.

3/10We had the most wonderful experience at Kitchen in March 2022. Sadly, this time the experience was beyond disappointing. We got the worst table in the restaurant, our request to change table was not accepted even though the restaurant was not full, Wine pairing was below average quality, Hot courses were cold. Staff was poorly trained. Michelin star not deserving.

10/10The 7 course tasting and pairing was incredible. The setting was also incredible. Such a great experience! We probably over stayed our welcome, but Chef Andrea came out and talked with us at the end and it was a wonderful experience. If you are ever in or near Lake Como make sure to make a reservation at Kitchen and experience the best food around!

10/10Phenomenal lunch. We couldn’t stay for the full experience due to our schedule but they gave us the most incredible experience, including graciously expediting the bill in a way that felt so seemless—hugely valuable when you’re trying to make it to a wedding ;) The food was honestly the best we had our entire trip, as was the service. The atmosphere was dreamy and comfortable even on a rainy day. I would absolutely recommend making time for this. The whole bill for two, which included two courses and two glasses of truly incredible (and well recommended) wine each (so four plates, countless little chef gifts/treats, and four glasses) was under 225 euros. I wish we had time to have had the full tasting menu. Next time! A fantastic Michelin star-worthy lunch without any feeling of pomposity or formality—it was approachable and still flawless, with a menu that anyone can enjoy. Make time for it, even if you only have a small window- just let them know you’ve got to be quick. I’ll be asking our local wine shop to special order the wine I had there, and I’ll be dreaming of the food for quite a bit.

10/10This restaurant was a gem ! One of the best food experiences I have ever tried . The concept and the produce was immaculate but the service was even better ! I loved the small details and it was truly unique . The team went out of their way to make a special cake for my husbands birthday which by the way was delicious and brought back memories from cakes we had tasted in our childhoods in weddings . Amazing effort and results!! Thank you ☺️

10/10The Experience tasting menu was one of the best gourmet dinners we had. The service was very quick and attentive. The venue is very spacious, and we got a cozy table with garden view. An amazing experience overall.

10/10Me and my wife spent our honeymoon in Como and decided to try this wonderful place. I can fully understand why this establishment achieved a Michelin star!! Everything was on point and planned! From the waiters presenting mine and my wife’s menus at the exact same time, placing down the plates at the exact same time. It doesn’t stop there. We decided to go with chefs 7 course blind tasting which meant the chef would whip up whatever he wanted. Every single course was nothing short of astonishing. I almost shed a tear the pigeon was so good!!! In my 27 years of living I have never experienced the flavors, and hard work of a Michelin star chef!! Amazing experience!!!!

8/10The food was as expected very good (Michelin *). The service was not so good, a bit oberbearing and of particlaur note, the tasing menu was pushed far too hard, we felt a bit bullied in to making the choice 9although, as above, the food and dining experience was superb). The prices are steep for the overall experience. This is a good choice, but I have been to better Michelin restaurants in Italy and in other countries

3.5/10We arrived at 7:20 for a 7:30 reservations. The service was so slow. By 9:30 we had received bread, a cracker, and the first of five courses. We left afterwards due to the fact the kitchen was so slow. Not sure what was wrong but all 9 of us thought it was the worst of our experiences here in Italy.

4.5/10The food and preparation was not nearly on par with their Michelin star. We witnessed a table that waited 2.5 hours before their 3rd course of their 7 course tasting menu, only to demand that they settle up for what they owed to that point. We continued on through our entire meal, to experience poorly timed service, clearly due to a lack of staff, training, or both. The wines chosen were good, but the timing very off kilter. The food was decent, though uninspired, particularly after choosing the Cart Blanche offered by the house, clearly delineated as the Creme de la Creme of the menu. We were hoping for a wonderful time, but were left wanting a cab home, and a good night’s sleep.

5/10The food was very pretty. There were very few dishes where the flavours stood out, other than the bread, the flight of amuse bouche, and the deserts. The garden was beautiful but too dark to really see what you were eating and appreciate the talent of the chef. Fully stocked bar but told they were too busy to make cocktails even though we had about 30 minutes between courses. Went home hungry. Not worth a visit.

10/10An exquisite, delightful,delicious dinner for a special birthday. The food was outstanding. We opted for the Exquisite + menu which was 7 courses each well served by a dedicated and knowledgeable team front of house. I’ve been fortunate to eat at quite a umber of Michelin Star restaurants and found this one to be of the same very high standard you would expect. Price wise for the menu at 170 euros per head I found it very reasonable, the wine flight was 100 euros which my hubby thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to the kitchen who are very talented and to front of house for making this a great experience and evening. This restaurant is well worth a visit

9.5/10The food at Kitchen was incredible. Overall ambiance and dining experience was great as well, but as the dinner service continued, the spacing between courses was too long. I’ve been to over 15 Michelin star restaurants, some with more courses, that didn’t take this long to serve them. Outside of that complaint, everything else was great.

4.5/10Not sure how this place got Michelin? Flat champagne, bugs in drinks, service pretty terrible. One gentleman in a suit seemed to be the only one who knew what he was doing. Watched table next to us tell the waiter they had a food allergy then the waiter served them the exact thing they said they were allergic to! Dangerous level of sloppiness. And VERY EXPENSIVE for all this. Again not sure how Michelin is giving away ratings this year but this place deserves to have it removed.

8.5/10A restaurant with the goal to be one of the best. We had a great dinner until something happened in the kitchen and all guests had to wait an hour for the next course. The serving staff did their best but it took to long. Probably a one time happening. Five stars for effort though!
