For a non japanese who’s never been to a kaiseki, maybe this could be good to start with. But for a Japanese who has been to a good kaiseki before, it was a bit disappointing. All the staff were nice though the French waiter was a bit brutal.

Dined twice over four days at Komatsubaki. One of the very best omakase experiences anywhere in the world. Both the sushi and the kaïseki presentations are phenomenal. Chef Takubo and his wife and team make the diners feel as though they are in their home. The Burgundian wine list is outstanding and very reasonably priced. A must if you love Japanese food.

An authentic kaiseki cuisine in Paris presented by the talented chef Ryuma Takubo. If you don’t speak French - no problem, they will explain everything in English.

The experience was wonderful from start to finish! The service was excellent and each dish (we had the sushi tasting menu) was really delicious and refined. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I look forward to coming back!

I had high expectations, but this small and intimate restaurante managed to exceed them. The quality of the ingredients and the different textures and tastes were simply out of this world. I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life, but some of the nigiri and sashimi I had at Komatsubaki were easily the best I've ever had. I'll definitely visit again.

All the staff are friendly and I love the chef, food is good and fresh, though the half cooked tuna could change to some other fish, had a great b-day experience there

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This is an amazing restaurant with insanely creative traditional Japanese dishes. The chef is very humble and sweet and so is the rest of the staff. To be honest I don’t know why this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star yet.
