A truly wonderful experience! As first-timers at a Michelin-star restaurant, we could never have imagined that food could taste so incredible. Every dish was an explosion of diverse flavors and textures, turning every bite into a dream. This experience was something completely new, leaving me questioning the meaning of life and whether I had ever truly understood what real food is. Therefore, I really recommend everyone to visit this place!

Was one exceptional gourmet evening ! The food was not a simple food. Was a nice story about food. All was supreme quality, the service was realy good, the evening was memorabile. And that is very difficult in one small city where everybody look for alsacian food. I recomand this place and if you have the posibility to choice it, just do it !

I took my mother to this restaurant to celebrate her 80th birthday. She absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and the staff were engaging and very charismatic. The whole experience was one of the I've had. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal and truly enjoy the best Alsace has to offer.

Cozy restaurant in the old part of COLMAR. Service was perfect, so was the food. But: taxis are a very hard find in Colmar. We got lucky to find one, but then were stuck there. In the snow I walked back to the hotel, got the car and relied on the GPS. The third attempt was successful… no fault of the restaurant, but guests should be made aware.

Everything was perfect at our wine-tasting oriented dinner at L'Atelier du Peintre. From the welcome at the front door to the very professional service and the delightfully delicious and beautifully presented food. The sommelier quickly tuned into what we wanted and we enjoyed a couple of bottles he served us blind. We had such confidence in his excellent taste. Calling round multiple taxi firms to ensure we could get back to the hotel showed how much they cared for us!

I enjoyed my experience overall at L'Atelier du Peintru. The ambience and presentation of the food were wonderful. The scallops were a standout dish. However, I felt that some dishes needed more refinement. In particular, the desserts were often too sweet which overpowered more subtle flavors. I will confess I was slightly disappointed in this restaurant because despite its reputation and the price, it was not my best meal during this trip to Colmar. That distinction belongs to Les Racines. I expected a restaurant that earned a Michelin star with a dedicated menu they should have perfected to outcompete my other restaurant experiences in the same small city, but alas it did not. I don't regret dining here, but wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Amazing restaurant. Excellent food, for example the “perdreau” (partridge) was exceptional, very well cooked and very tasty. The wine was very good too: excellent Crozes Hermitage red and organic, Riesling… The dessert, pavlova, was just exceptional. The service was very good, very efficient and nice. This restaurant worths stars in Michelin guide.

One of the best dinners I have had in recent memory. The various complementary flavors in each of dishes was exciting and delicious. The wines that the sommelier offered to pair with the courses were exquisite.
