6/10We go to the Philharmonie often and used to eat at Le Balcon a couple of times a month. Since the restaurant has reopened as L'Envol, we have been there twice now and this will be the last time. There are half the number of tables as before and yet the staff didn't manage to get us bread. After having our starters in front of us for 10 minutes, my husband got up and got the bread himself. The food is overpriced, there is very little choice and it's overcomplicated. When eating at 6:30pm before a concert, I am not looking for nouvelle cuisine at 35€ for a main. My husband appreciated his meal while I didn't. Asparagus with no taste whatsoever and artichoke purée with so much cream you couldn't taste the artichoke. Let me know when you change chefs, and go back to simpler dishes and more choice and we'll try it again. Plus, the option "menu du chef" at 39€ was not available.

10/10The food was really delicious (though the menu choices are very limited), the view is great, the service was fine. A little expensive because you are paying for the location and view. If you are going to a concert, you can catch an elevator from the restaurant directly into the main concert hall (they even had a ticket collector at the restaurant exit to make it easy for us!) Caution: Do not use Apple or Google maps to find the place - they only understand the street entrance and will try to get you to walk through closed doors and clubs. Ask people at the museum and they can direct to the quick routes.

6.5/10Food was ok but minimalist, service somewhat haphazard and the lighting so poor you couldn't see what you were eating.

10/10What a great place to eat right before a great musical adventure! Beautiful views, great atmosphere, fine service, and delicious French food. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if Yo-Yo Ma and Katryn Stott are to follow suit.

8.5/10This restaurant only opened on 22 Jan and highly recommended by my dining group. The decor is fabulous, the panoramic views over the Paris skyline are good. The food is imaginative and high quality it is worth coming again. The choice of menu is good too. The service was disappointing and I hope that in the coming few weeks these service problems are resolved. 1. People want to be served quickly. It took 25 minute’s from first sitting at our table before even water was delivered. Both wine and water should have arrived almost immediately 2. The restaurant opens at 18:30 and as everyone wants to eat before the concert at 20:00 this places an enormous pressure on staff and the kitchen Please open at 18:00. 3. I have allergies to ‘fruits au coques’ and there should be more flexibility in the kitchen to provide both dishes without nuts and also vegetarian options.
