10/10Came to Le Touquet for the weekend and chose L'Espadrille as it was close to our Airbnb. Fantastic little restaurant, great food at very reasonable prices. Super helpful staff and all in all a great meal.

10/10What great food, service and such a friendly place. The chef produced the best cassoulet ever! My wife’s burger was just as she likes it and dessert was great! Really recommend you visit.

5.5/10With all the dining options available in Le Touquet, l’Espadrille should be low on your list of priorities. The tapas options are slim, my partner had a disappointing moules and frit, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

9.5/10Out of season here but this place was open. There were 4 customers all evening so they weren’t overwhelmed but anyone in town that ate elsewhere really missed out. This is a French / Spanish place with a mix of dishes from both cultures. My wife had the paella which was outstanding, full of richness and flavour and generous of seafood. I had three tapas plates; gambas, sardines and salt cod bites. The prawns were very big and perfectly cooked being moist and succulent. Truly delicious! The sardines were just yummy and plentiful and the cod bites light and refreshing. Overall a superb 3 plates. Chuck in a decent Chablis for a fair price and there is a recipe for happy customers. Staff great and helpful. Overall a really enjoyable meal.

3/10I feel a bit bad for writing this as the servers were friendly enough. But they did take a long time to serve some things and needed reminding twice to bring our wine & ice. We also ordered water that never appeared and 'patatas bravas' that didn't come when it was supposed to. When I ordered them again, they even charged it twice to the bill (though this was eventually removed - but still shouldn't have been forgotten in first place). However, the real disappointment was the food. The dishes were all basically the same. The starter soup and main soup were the same average base. The paella was flavourless. The burger bun was soggy. The vegan tapas was a few bits of cucumber, a spring roll and a couple bits of deep fried cheese. The shrimps were grainy with sand and looked like they were on the verge of going off. The patatas bravas when we eventually got them were just french fries with a not very nice mix of ketchup & mayo on them. I'm afraid it just wasn't good enough, and it's such a shame as the place had such nice ratings. The meal cost €200 so it was *extremely* overpriced for the food we got. To top it all off, a bird flew over and defecated on our table... and though this wasn't the fault of the restaurant... was pretty indicative of the whole meal. They did offer us a free limoncello to 'compensate' though...?
