10/10They treat you like regulars with complimentary starter from kitchen , plus almond cookies and lemon sorbet for dessert from chef. We were offered a complimentary limoncello, but just too much food!

10/10The service and the food were both very satisfying. Wine is generally ordered by the bottle, but even when I ordered by the glass they went out of their way to open a new bottle and let me taste it.

10/10What an amazing experience. The food was amazing and the service unmatched. Our waiter, KD, was amazing and the team was attentive. The truffle pasta was great and the Florentine was cooked perfectly. Thank you for one of the best experiences in Florence.

10/10One of the most amazing food experiences I’ve had in Rome! While we waited for a table they gave us complimentary wine, the service was phenomenal, and the food was out of this world! 10/10 would recommend!

10/10The service and food was amazing. We loved all the recommendations, starter of fried zucchini flowers were phenomenal. All the mains were very tasty, choice of wine and alcohol have met our needs. Atmosphere was lovely and all stuff was friendly. Highly recommend to come and visit. But remember to book before, there is not a lot of tables left and few groups had to turn around.

10/10Great atmosphere, attentive and gracious (and patient) wait staff, excellent food. We were a party of 3 teens and 6 adults, and everyone left on a "that was wonderful cloud. Delightful evening.

10/10I booked a table in the wine cellar as I thought it would be a unique experience but my daughter (7yo) was put off by my decision. Fortunately, the management and waitstaff were very accommodating and allowed us to change tables to the main dining room. Our waiter, Ercole, was very warm and professional and gets top marks for his service. We ordered the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, Pici with sausage and kale ragout, sauteed greens and a salad and the three of us were left very satisfied by the taste and portion size. I'm very loyal to great service with great food so I will absolutely return to L'Osteria di Giovanni.

10/10Loved how they gave us fried dough when we first got to our table. The Florentine Steak was the best we have had. We also had the tagliatelle with duck which was delicious. They were very generous with the wine and price was very reasonable.

10/10The staff are truly warm and inviting! I was alone but made to feel at home and surrounded by friends. The space was full - with locals and tourists like myself. And the food was fabulous, from start to finish.

10/10An amazing service. People are friendly and everything to accommodate you. I made a reservation for me and my husband to try sucking pig. They didn’t have it that night but they made it for us in the next day. It was soooo great. It made us feel special. The entire menus is great. The vine is very good too. We will be back.

10/10Paolo was a terrific waiter who catered to the 5 children in our group of 13. The food was great and abundant. Pick were cooked to perfection, the veal and the bistecca Fiorentina were very good. The dinner was finished off with cantucci and Vin Santo and finally a limoncello salute homemade by the beautiful owner’s daughter. High recommendations!

10/10L’Osteria Giovanni hit all the right notes! The menu includes a variety of Florence-centric dishes that are all deliciously prepared. Wines are varied and reasonably priced. Service is extraordinary! Our waiter was assisted by two others. We never waited for someone to notice us and to fulfill any needs. Complimentary Lemoncello ice and cantucci bring the meal to a sweet close. Throughout our dinner the owner circulated to ensure that we were well taken care of. Before we left we were gifted with a small packet of cantucci. What a delightful treat to help us remember a wonderful meal!
