This was our favorite meal in Italy. The appetizer was amazing! And came with fried bread balls (I don’t know their actual name but they were sooo good). We both had pasta dishes which were excellent and the dessert was FABULOUS! Lemon cake for me and apple cake for my husband. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great experience!

9.5/10My wife and I found L'Osteria Giovanni on our honeymoon 9 years ago. We loved it then and always recommend it to those friends visiting Florence. Our visit tonight reinforced our fondness. Great food and wonderful, attentive service.

4/10I’m sorry, but when there are so many fantastic places to eat in Florence first impressions are important. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us at the door, we were given a sigh and a shrug from the a waiter when I informed him we had a reservation. Another pushed past and TOLD us to wait in the bar. No idea if the food is good, the ambience was hot, noisy and chaotic. No thank you. We left.

+2On our trip to Firenze, this restaurant was recommended to us on our first night. The meal was beautiful. Never tasted food like it, the waiter’s friendly & the vibe in the restaurant is perfect. A real Tuscan restaurant. We enjoyed it so much we visited again on our last night. We ended our holiday how we started it with a fantastic meal to help us remember Firenze forever. 5 ⭐️, 6 ⭐️even

+1Amazing food, friendly staff. This was the best meal we had in Florence and we have been here for 5 days already! Florentine steak was perfectly cooked. Seafood pasta was also very tasty and make sure you leave room for desserts. Really good value and I really like that cover charge includes filter water. (Still or sparkling)

10/10Dining at L’Osteria was like being at your best friends house. The staff was so kind and welcoming. The bread puffs pre meal were delicious. The drinks, the appetizers and the food were fabulous. Would definitely go back if I am ever in Florence. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I made our reservations 90 days in advance and couldn’t wait to get there. It was my fiancé’s birthday and once I let the maitre d know he moved us to a nice table in the back The food was excellently prepared and the owner was so nice to stop by and say hello I would recommend this to anyone visiting or living in Florence

10/10I’ve eaten at this restaurant three times now and each time has been wonderful. The staff is so nice and inviting. They know the menu very well (and the menu has changed each time I’ve been). The food is amazingly prepared and presented. I have never had and do not expect I’ll ever have a bad experience here.

10/10Excellent service, food and setting! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, then provided with great service and superb food. This was definitely the best meal of our trip. Only regret is that we didn’t book this restaurant on our first night, because we would have returned the following night too. Highly recommended!!

Our meal was amazing. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and they were kind enough to let us wait at the bar before our table was ready. The table side sea bass filet was perfecto, tuna pistachio delicioso and the lemon cake dessert was the best part. Would highly recommend.

10/10What a great place! Food was unbelievably good starting with goose carpaccio (!) and the freshest asparagus and zucchini blossoms as recommended by our waiter, because they were in season. Steak florentine- yes, as I read in a guidebook, it was “legendary”. My daughter said the lemon cake transported her. Vin santo, wine, limoncello, of course. Our table was by the bar, very lively and fun, waitstaff were funny and genial, excellent service. Not only all this but they let us stuff our luggage into a side room because our train was so late. Really friendly, helpful people. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Can’t recommend it enough.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at the restaurant. The staff did a great job to make it memorable. And the food is delicious, the best rivolli I have ever had, and the Florentine steak is awesome!

The best Italian food I have had. The pasta was amazing. The steak was so good. The service was incredible. Amazing staff and on top of us the whole time. At the end gave us biscotti and sorbet. Def a visit in Florence
