The squash blossoms were amazing. Our waiter was wonderful. The atmosphere was perfect. Honestly a great evening that needed nothing.

10/10A lovely quaint traditional restaurant. Service was very good and the food was amazing, we all had the filet mignon with lovely roast potatoes and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Desserts was also really good. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night I would book in advance. Would definitely recommend to anybody visiting Florence!

10/10The service was top tier here. The food was great. The house wines (white and red) were great and paired with the food well. We enjoyed a great meal here. I will definitely come back to this restaurant in the future

10/10We enjoyed the way the woman runs this restaurant , Caterina, came over several times to check on things.. very attentive . Our Waiter could not have been more friendly or more Professional He was waiting a bunch of tables but still made us feel like we’re were his only patrons. The staff made us feel very special. Now… the food ….was excellent!!! We were here. A year ago and a major reason why we returned to Florence was to eat at Osteria Giovanni. I told our driver about our experience the next day and even though he was from Umbria … he knew and agreed how good Osteria Giovanni’s is. A first class Restaurant for sure .

10/10Host and staff are very friendly, courteous (treating us as valued customers), and attentive. We ordered only the famous T-bone steak (about 1.2 kilos for 2 people) and we were very full. The staff respected our order size (did not show any signs of unpleasantness or try to push us to order more, although the steak itself cost nearly US$100). The table cover fees includes water (still or sparkling), with unlimited refill, which was highly appreciated!

10/10Very beautiful restaurant with traditional Italian courses done in their own unique way. Eggplant appetizer was my favorite. Please come hungry there were too many courses for us so we just had the three. If you are a vegetarian understand that the pancetta has gelatin in it.

This was our favorite meal in Italy. The appetizer was amazing! And came with fried bread balls (I don’t know their actual name but they were sooo good). We both had pasta dishes which were excellent and the dessert was FABULOUS! Lemon cake for me and apple cake for my husband. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great experience!

9.5/10My wife and I found L'Osteria Giovanni on our honeymoon 9 years ago. We loved it then and always recommend it to those friends visiting Florence. Our visit tonight reinforced our fondness. Great food and wonderful, attentive service.

4/10I’m sorry, but when there are so many fantastic places to eat in Florence first impressions are important. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us at the door, we were given a sigh and a shrug from the a waiter when I informed him we had a reservation. Another pushed past and TOLD us to wait in the bar. No idea if the food is good, the ambience was hot, noisy and chaotic. No thank you. We left.
