Booked this restaurant last minute following other good reviews and it was soooo good. Location is very central although a bit hidden if you didnt know it was there. Its a small restaurant, nice decor, clean and warm. Staff was friendly too. The best thing however was the food. Starters they recommend which we took plus another we picked and the mains also incredible. Was too full to order pudding but given some after dinner drink complementary which along with the other dinner drinks were delicious. It was perfect & couldn't rate enough.

Wonderful seafood—we had sea bass with clams and octopus and shrimp risotto. Cute place tucked in somewhat below a hilly street with good prices too. We may return for lunch if we have time (note Apple Maps showed the restaurant only open in evening but we were informed they are also open from 1200 - 1500).

10/10The risotto was really good. The goat cheese appetizer was also quite good, but make sure to share with at least 2-3 people, the serving size is large and would be too much for 1 person.

First night in Lisbon. Staying in a popular tourist area and found this restaurant on the app. Quaint, excellent service and very good foods. The goat cheese / walnut appetizer was amazing. Shrimps, clams, Octopus and shrimp risotto, and a comforting cod dish left no room for deserts. Better than the typical tourist area restaurants, don’t hesitate.

3/10Totally overated restaurant. We were a group of four portuguese people and none of us were satisfied with our dishes. This is totally a tourist oriented restaurant, were authentique traditional portuguese dishes are only by name not by quality. Service is very friendly but some of the staff members are very unprofessional, not knowinhg exactly what they are doing or even knowing the menu. Would I recommend this restaurant NO.

This place is an absolute treasure! The service truly stands out—every staff member was attentive, friendly, and made our evening feel special. You can see the passion they put into everything they do. As for the food, it was simply extraordinary. The octopus was perfectly tender, and the risotto was a flavorful masterpiece. Each dish was a culinary experience in itself, leaving us eager to try more. Though the space is small, it’s incredibly cosy with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. If you’re in Lisbon, this is the place to be for an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!

Another wonderful meal at L-Tasca by Maria Peixeira. We discovered this restaurant during our visit last in May, we have returned five times and every time both the food and service has been excellent. The entire staff is attentive, the chef makes delicious food. This meal we had the Sirloin with stout & mushroom sauce and the pork with clams. We recommend both. We say they are excellent in service, excellent for the food and excellent for atmosphere.

10/10We visited L-Tasca by Maria Peixeira, for the 3rd time. It has become one of our favorite restaurants in Lisbon. They have good choices of seafood or meat, they provide wonderful service and the atmosphere is creative. This meal we enjoyed the Seabass and Ibereian Pork Cheeks. Their service was excellent, the entire team was great. We were greeted by the manager Bruno, he remembered us from previous visits. I want to give a shout out to all of the front room team; Gonzalo, Lavio and Ciao together they provided great service. Chef Alex stopped by our table and we heard great things about the kitchen staff. It was another enjoyable evening. Thanks to all of the staff.
