10/10As per my previous review of our first visit, we enjoyed the restaurant and dishes so much we decided to return for lunch on our last day. We got another very warm welcome, delicious dishes and even the friendly chef Eduardo came out to chat with the customers. We were full of praise (esp. for his delicious octopus salad!). Thank you L-Tasca for lovely meals and thank you The Fork for the generous discounts. We would go back again when we're next in beautiful Lisbon!

8.5/10Very friendly staff, we really enjoyed the shrimp dish, the suggested wine we also enjoyed. Downside wear something warm at this time of year (March) for evening dining.

4.5/10We were very excited to come here. Reviews are quite good and we have been to the first restaurant of Maria Peixeira and had a great time. But unfortunately I have to say our experience was quite disappointing - I will start by saying that the waiters were nice and attentions, but on the first drinks we got, my glass had lipstick marks from a previous guest which is a no go. Then my partners drink was zero sugar instead of regular as we asked for. He also asked for some olives which never came but they were charged on the final bill. We ordered their most expensive plate “cataplana de marisco” 65€ for 2, which came with 2 lobsters and a good quantity of some other sea food. The clams had sand on them, which in my opinion, is a huge mistake since I was shewing sand throughout my meal. The chef came to the table and asked how the food was and we let him know the taste was ok but it was unfortunate that there was sand in the shell fish, which he then replied that they do their best to take it out but that it is normal because it’s shell fish. No, this is not normal, it is because you didn’t clean the seafood properly. The lobsters could definitely have more taste to them and they were a bit overcooked. The cataplana’s sauce was good and rich in taste tho. It also came accompanied by rice which was microwaved 🥲

9.5/10The starters of goat cheese and huevos rotos were nice. Had the “Bitoque” as main course… delightful! The wine selection and Sangria were quite pricy

4.5/10Have no idea how anyone could recommend this tourist trap. Tried to put covert on table without asking-- a $15E covert that included an 8.5e octopus salad, 2e butter, 3 bread, 2 e olives--all covered with cling wrap. We turned it away, but tourists unaware that it is not complimentary might be caught out here. Both my husband's and my entrees were served on a pile of overcooked, tasteless frozen spinach as we sat at a window table overlooking cement covered with graffiti.

9/10Bruno, whose birthday is today, was our waiter. He was a true delight and had wonderful recommendations from the menu. We started with the shrimp which was $8.50 and there were six giant huge jumbo shrimp. They were very good! For dinner, Kevin had the traditional Portuguese Fish cake, which is potatoes and onions and fish in a molded patty the size of a donut. I had the whole octopus and it was divine. I didn’t know how to eat the head so I just left it. The potatoes served with my octopus were really tasty and Kevin ate those because I’m trying not to eat carbs. There was also an abundance of spinach on my plate which was quite tasty and I couldn’t even eat it all. I highly recommend this restaurant. They’ve only been open four months. The wines were very reasonably priced at 26 and $28 per bottle.

5.5/10L-tasca is a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and a charming venue. During my visit, I had a few experiences that I would like to share with you. Unfortunately, I had to send back two dishes because I am allergic to coriander, and despite mentioning it, I was served dishes that still contained coriander. This situation definitely marred my experience and left a stain on an already less-than-excellent experience. Upon arrival, we were offered some starters, which we could choose to enjoy or decline. This is an interesting initiative that allows customers to explore different culinary options right from the start of the meal. As side note: if you offer something make sure it is super fresh and tasty! Starters: The octopus salad lacked a distinct flavour. Not seasoned well and made. Additionally, I noticed the presence of an ingredient to which I am allergic. Fortunately, someone else at the table tasted it for me. This was a bit disappointing, considering that octopus salad is usually a dish that I quite enjoy. The bread basket was dry and seemed stale, likely cut hours before. This contributed to an overall feeling of lack of freshness in the dishes served. However, credit must be given to the well-executed and creamy butter. It was a pleasant accompaniment to the dry bread. The black olives were simple and ordinary, without any particular distinctiveness. They didn't leave a lasting impression. Mains: The raw cod was flavoursome, with the addition of onions that added a pleasant touch to the dish. It was one of the few dishes that I enjoyed during my visit. The grilled cod, similarly, was flavoursome, with the onions providing a delightful taste to the dish. This was one of the highlights of the dinner. The pan-fried prawns, unfortunately, failed to impress my palate. The flavour of the prawns was not particularly enhanced and did not leave a memorable impression. Dessert: The chocolate mousse with a hint of salt, on the other hand, was a very good dessert. It was creamy, and the salty taste added an interesting contrasting note. The Maria almond cake was good but not particularly memorable. It was a dish that satisfied my sweet craving without leaving a lasting impression. Drinks: A special mention goes to the homemade sangria, which was delicious. It was one of the highlights of the evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed its unique taste. The filtered sparkling and still water also had a nice flavour and was gassed well. The bill: However, I must highlight that the final bill was rather high considering what we had eaten. This contributed to a certain overall disappointment regarding the overall experience. In conclusion, I can't help but notice that the issue with the allergen definitely tarnished an experience that was already not excellent. I hope that the restaurant can consider paying more attention to customers' allergies to ensure a better culinary experience for everyone.
