We had a couple of days in Strasbourg during our European holiday and were looking for a nice Christmas lunch experience. The restaurant is cosy, the food good, and service friendly. The wine list is modest but the quality well matched to their menu (the grand cru gewurtztraminer especially pretty). The restaurant is located in a lovely part of the old city; when we emerged from the restaurant after our pleasant Christmas dinner the place was buzzing with tourists (not their fault!) Overall, we loved our Xmas day meal at La Bedaine and we’d go again with pleasure!

We went with friends for our Sunday lunch: the service was excellent, all the the food looked fantastic. I had the grand salmon salad: it was very tasty, there could have been more greens for the price. Overall: everyone in our party was very satisfied.

6.5/10We were disappointed in the restaurant we went to with expectations. There was almost no half of the menu they shared in The Fork application, so we had a limited choice. The quality and taste of the plates were average. Dessert options were almost non-existent. In the end, we were not very satisfied, thank you for hosting us.

6.5/10The food was good and the location too. The problem is that even though The Fork app had a discount on the "à la carte" menu, we paid full price. We only noticed at the end of the meal that at the bottom of one page of the menu it was indicated that it was impossible to offer a discount. We found this very deceptive and annoying… So ne careful!

9.5/10We really enjoyed our Christmas lunch. Food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was that one of our diners had her soup tipped on her by the waitress. Staff were very apologetic and offered to cover cleaning. But as we were leaving Strasbourg that wasn’t going to work. It would have been nice if we were offered a discount instead. Other than that would recommend.

9.5/10A wonderful meal. Met by the M. Chef Bedaine, a man of immense charm and humour, served delicious food in a welcoming delightful atmosphere. Our 19 year old Rosie said it was her best Christmas ever. We followed our hosts wine advice. The chilled Alsacienne Pinot Noir was perfect for the meal along with the house Alsace Gewurtz & Pinot dessert wine. A truly memorable occasion, M Bedaine’s sense of fun a standout. Merci Monsieur.

Pretty setting in cobbled street. Charming waitress. Prompt service. Food very good. Husband had tarte flambée cheese snd I had sauerkraut with fish. Wine was chilled and reasonable.

The quality of the food and the service is outstanding. We enjoyed a holiday menu that included incredible home made pate' , a delicious gravlax and greens salad , beef with polenta and fresh truffle and a perfect chocolate ganache dessert. Regional Cremant and Alsace wines were very reasonably priced . We will return here.

My wife and I had a wonderful evening at La Bedaine. The staff was friendly and helpful with superb suggestions. The Riesling wine, appetizer, dinners (duck breast and fish) and desserts were excellent. They allowed us to sit outside on a cool evening at our request which allowed us to enjoy watching people go by. Will definitely eat here on our next trip to Strasbourg.

More passion and commitment is hard to find elsewhere. Absolutely fantastic food, made with so much love and precision. Excellent dining experience that everyone visiting Strasbourg MUST try! 10 out of 10 stars is not enough! A chef who is on the floor, around his guests, shows that he cares about his food, with good reason! Delicious delicious food!

6.5/10It was a decent lunch - though just a fixed Mother's Day menu. The staff are friendly, The ingredient choices were ok, but execution lacked finesse. Rice in the sushi inspired course resembled a rice pudding. Duck was overcooked and tough, potatoes were undercooked and underseasoned

10/10Perfect evening with amazing service with the friendly and professional dark haired waitress (whose name I unfortunately didn’t note). She advised us in detail on the meal. When our choice ran out the chef himself came out to explain what he could offer us. The meal was one of the best I’d ever had. Delicious beef with vegetables and a fantastic homemade pavlova. Can highly recommend!

We love Alsatian (Franco-Germanic) cuisine and @restaurant_la_bedaine delivered superbly. Thanks to Chef Michael Cädoch and his team who were so attentive to us. I highly recommend the La demi Magret de canard and their house Cuvee. We will be back.

This is how food should taste!!! The veal was melting in the mouth like butter, the entrées, deserts and wines were excellent. Friendly and competent service, pleasant ambiance... I could not see a fault in it!!

9/10Food was really good, specially de foie gras, To die for! The service was very nice and friendly! 100% recommended! Dessert was delicious, black chocolate box with some kind of lemons cues and crispy dots. The white wine from the house they make it in Strasbourg, I loved it!
