The minestrone soup was grey and hugely overcooked, probably been boiling for several days and the main course beef stew and mashed potatoes was cold, they reheated it but the mash was sloppy and inedible. I am afraid it was the worst meal I have had in a very long time.

Diner food, diner service, diner ambiance, meaning, not bad but nothing special. Just a place to eat, nothing more. They solicit you for a tip in writing at the bottom of the check. Not an experience worth having if you are after a memorable meal in Florence.

The ambience, the service were wonderful. The food was good. We had a lovely evening with friends who had never been to Florence and they were very happy with the food and service.

To improve , the restaurant needs to get rid of the Head of Service & some of the waiters. A customer does not expect to hear a Front of House Maitre de sounding off and smashing bottles & glasses behind a screened off area out of sight but within hearing distance to customers. My wife ordered Veal & Mushrooms, she got Veal & Lemon Sauce. I ordered Chicken Slices with NO Cheese, I got Chicken with Shaved Cheese. Wine was way overpriced. €109 . Do yourself a favour…dont book…& food was not hot

Disappointing Christmas Day Meal We booked this restaurant for Christmas Day, hoping for a festive and relaxing meal after a day of sightseeing. Upon arrival, we asked to be seated inside, as there were several empty tables. However, we were directed to the glass-enclosed outdoor area, which was acceptable but not ideal. After sitting for about 5-7 minutes, we asked the waiter for the menu, and his response was a loud sigh, as if he was reluctant to serve us. This felt rude and unprofessional. The Florentina Scotta steak was the highlight of the meal—tender and flavorful. The tomato soup was not your typical soupy-style soup,carbonara pasta was just okay—nothing remarkable. Service was slow throughout the meal, and while the atmosphere was decent, it lacked the festive charm we had hoped for on Christmas Day. Overall, the service and seating experience were disappointing, especially for such a special occasion.Wouldn't rush to come back

The service guys were quite different. One was very quiet and distanced, sometimes stressed and a bit angry, the other one always pretended to be my best friend, but in a very unauthentic way… The food was good and the ambiance to!

Voted the best meal of our trip by everyone in our group. Excellent steak, and our waiter was great at suggesting the perfect wine, drinks for the kids, and dessert. Wonderful atmosphere. We had a wonderful evening as a family.

The traditional bisteca and Chianti wine were delicious. We also had gnocchi, lasagne, spaghetti bolognese and fiorentina pizza, all of which were not at par with what we’ve eaten at other restaurants.

12 of us spent a wonderful night at this restaurant. The steaks were great, and we were served by Abano. He was the best host ever. I am so glad that we chose this restaurant over all others in Florence.

Disappointed in how long they took to bring us our food. We were there before the crowd and somehow the many tables got their food first. Steak was average. I could have gone somewhere else for a better steak. Gave us a wrong order after we told them it wasn’t ours. They insisted it was. Pasta was probably the only thing not disappointing.

Great food. I know you are in Italy, but trust me, get the steaks. Highly recommend this establishment.

The steak was absolutely terrible. Chewy and tough. We warned other diners not to order it. I told our waiter it was really bad. He just shook his head and walked away. The restaurant is outdoors with poor fans and a mist system. It was very uncomfortable. We were totally disappointed in this experience. Also they overcharged us by $20.

Simply amazing location on the piazza. The food was incredible with the exception of the lamb chops (a lot of work without much payoff). The only issue was the waitstaff which seemed like they would have rather been on the pitch.

Staff was nice, view was great, but food was very disappointing. We ordered a very expensive steak (140euros/kg) because wanted to splurge and try the famous Florence steak. I do not recommend. It was probably one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had. Tasted like it was boiled, no flavor at all, came very under cooked (asked for medium rare and it was blue rare). Was so tough we could barely cut it with a steak knife. I thought Kobe was supposed to be tender. I think this place is a tourist trap.

The restaurant was very pretty inside. The service was very good. The pasta was delicious. We did not receive our 20% off. The steak was fair for the price.

Excellent service despite being very busy. Great music entertainment from the square. It may seem like a tourist trap but it’s quite good. Would eat there again.

An oaisis on a hot day in crowded Florence. Excellent Tuscan food and good service. Fans and water vapor kept the roofed open air restaurant cool and there was plenty of room.

I don’t understand why this restaurant is in the top 10 steak house in Florence, but you should know- it is commercial ordinary restaurant, with average food (Florence steak) and not quite good service (I just want to mention the oldest waiter, who was careless and impudent, he even mentioned that we have to give him tips which is not included in the bill????. Other guys seemed to be ok. This restaurant left me a little disappointed… in comparison of course with other restaurants….maybe I have higher expectations….

To tourist, if you order a fiorentina it's a Tbone steak if they give you a rib eye refuse it.

The steak Fiorentina was wonderful and I loved that the server recommended one that was not the most expensive on the menu. The soups were very good especially the Ribolitto. Portions are huge so beware and order accordingly. The pastas were disappointing, but hey, it's a steak place. Service was attentive and efficient.

Stopped by the restaurant in the afternoon to make a reservation and hold a certain table. We were told it would cost 15€ to hold it. We left. Went to our apartment to make a reservation and were able to do so on The Fork. When we arrived, we were told they do not take reservations. I told him we have a confirmation for a table and was done at a 20% discount. He agreed to honor it, but it was quite awkward.
