5/10Despite having booked in advance, we were seated at the bar and not at a table, which already gave a bad impression. Then we had to wait 40 minutes for our entrance. The dishes were ok but not quite up to the price and Michelin recommendation. We were disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We regret that your visit did not meet your expectations.. We would like to clarify that while you were seated at our counter, it was on comfortable sofa seats designed to provide an enjoyable dining experience. We always strive to accommodate our guests' preferences, but given that the restaurant was fully booked, this was the best available seating at the time. Regarding the service time, we understand that waiting for your starters may have been frustrating. As mentioned when ordering, dishes à la carte require more preparation time compared to our daily special menu. Despite this, we are glad that your full dining experience lasted less than one hour, which is within our usual service standards. We regret that the meal did not fully meet your expectations, as we take great pride in offering high-quality dishes that align with our Michelin recommendation. As a gesture, we were pleased to offer you 2 glasses of Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne of a value of 50chf.

8/10Overall, it was a nice experience. However, the food was over-salted. One aspect left a particularly negative impression: a staff member should address their dental hygiene before interacting with customers, as their bad breath is the lasting memory I'll have from this evening.

10/10Outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional—polite, professional, and friendly but never intrusive. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome; they spoke perfect English and answer any questions about the dishes. The food was of the highest quality, with fresh ingredients that truly made each dish stand out. I was particularly impressed with the slow-cooked shoulder of lamb, which was one of the best lamb preparations I have ever tried. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To top off the meal, I highly recommend trying the Basque cake for dessert. Delicious, and the perfect ending to a fantastic dining experience.

I went for the Menu of the chef. Unfortunately, it took 1h30 to get the starter and 30 minutes waiting for the dessert. Though the food was very good. The service tried to support but the waiting time was too long. I am sure it will be better next time. Very sympathetic team.

10/10I am very happy we were able to have lunch at La Cantine and I recommend you do as well if you are visiting or living in Geneva! The service provided by the staff and Natalie made us feel warm and welcome and the dishes were delicious and appetizing, one after the other. The recommendations provided by their team were meaningful and I am happy we had this experience. Thank you to all at La Cantine!

10/10A lovely dining experience. The food was excellent and the service delightful, more than making up for the dishes being a little slow to arrive. The seasonal game dish (venison) was perhaps one of best such dinners we’d ever had. The Basque cake with rum sorbet might just be worth a special trip to La Cantine. The menu is short, but that’s because the chef is successfully concentrating his talents. The wine and food pairings were excellent. A pleasant place for a fancy but relaxed family dinner or for a romantic evening. Very nicely priced for the quality.
