After paying the bill in cash with four €50 notes and one €20 note, the waiter returned three or four minutes later to inform us that €40 was missing. The manager then acted in bad faith by exchanging a €50 note for a €10 note. When we asked to view the surveillance camera recordings, he responded that it would only be possible the next day. We had to insist that he call the police to access the footage. After 5 to 10 minutes, the director arrived, apologized, and informed us that he would check the recordings the following day. Additionally, they refused to grant us the 30% discount with which we had made the reservation." "I strongly advise against this restaurant and warn the community to be very cautious

The food is delicious and served promptly. The staff is attentive and polite, but their strictness about our reservation through The Fork made us feel uncomfortable. They insisted we could only sit inside if we had booked via the app, which caused a bit of unease.

La Carmela was is my wish list for my Madrid trip, and it didn’t disappoint us. Delicious food, awesome paella, fresh intern ambient (with Madrid summer time, it’s a must), and friendly service. For sure a place to visit and have great food at Madrid.

Seafood wasn't fresh, and all the dishes we ordered were too salty. Waiters were friendly but didn't respond promptly, usually ignored our raised hands. NOT RECOMMENDED. A very disappointing experience.

We obviously had a reservation upon arrival we waited without any attention from staff which was passing by without interest then we asked if we could sit outside a waiter said yes. We sat for 20mn no contact from outside staff then when we dared ask a bouncer like waiter his demeanor and way of talking almost made us leave such a shame as the food was good. We then were ordered to go inside with by the same unhinged staffer as if we were supposed to know that food was not served outside

Excellent dinner at La Carmela. We ordered a chevre salad, veal cheeks, sea bass and fideua and everything was top notch. Too bad we didn’t leave room for desert but we at least tried the flan and it was delicious. Julian was a wonderful host and his suggestions were spot on. The white one helped a everything settle in . Wonderful night .

Very nice address. But they were not sincere regarding the portion. We ordered the Entercote (1kg) as mentioned on the menu at 46euros and we got a piece of maximum 300-400grs. Not fair. In addition they added services on the bill we didn’t order.
