Caponata was too fancy, with cocoa powder and caramel on top. Did not expected it in a traditional sicilian restaurant, however it was quite delicious but definitely too sweet and the sour/tangy note was missing. Mains were delicious, but the service was very slow. Value for money was insanely good, especially considering the fact that you are in Taormina. Important to know: We asked to sit outside, however we were told upon arrival that they don‘t have places outside.

We went there before 7pm. The waitress told us have to 7 to be able to order food. We ordered seafood pasta and shrimps pasta. The seafood pasta was very good. The shrimps pasta which was more expensive and was too salty and just 4-5 small shrimps.

A family-run, small restaurant in the heart of Taormina serving excellent food. We had caponata, maccheroni alla norma, marinati ( raw, sliced seafood together with red crayfish Last but not least a delicious cannolo scomposto. The most spectacular dessert ever! We booked with The Fork, getting a 20% off but actually if we leave a tip, you save very little

If you are a real foodie, this is the restaurant for you. Off the beaten track, but not too much - at the end of Corso Umberto I, up a slight rise next to the old city walls. Don’t be put off by the entrance (aluminium doors), inside the restaurant is lovely - the table is a joy with the ceramic traditional place mats. The food is excellent. We ate a mixture of antipasto, primo and second courses. Everything was excellent - from the quality of the ingredients (also gamberi rossi!) and the perfect cooking to the portions and presentations. Very attentive service. Good choice of local wines (only by the bottle or glass). We cannot remember eating fish (and non) cooked so deliciously. There is also a large choice of non-fish dishes which often can be difficult to find in Taormina. Really a great culinary experience and highly recommended.

A nice little place with a very welcoming host and atmosphere. Our table was not ready and we were directly offered a glass of prosecco. Food was good and we were recommended a very nice wine. It was a bit hard have a normal conversation - the acoustic was not so good. Might return in the future.

This is our second visit during Taormina’s stay. We enjoyed different dishes like Napoli Pizza, Mixed seafood Fries, and Lasagna, which are very different from other restaurants. All dishes are very good and staff are very friendly. We feel like to come back to home and recommend.

Our local coordinator recommended this restaurant. It was very comfortable in family atmosphere and home made type of Sicilian dishes. We will definitely come back during our Taormina stay.
