7/10This was a lovely restaurant perfect for locals and regulars. The ambience was nice and the guy who served us was helpful . We are English so it was very difficult to read the menu or know what we were ordering. It was also a little too expensive for what we got. €6 for water is a lot! We enjoyed the experience and clearly local people rate it highly.

4.5/10The staff was nice. Drinks were fine. Decor is outdated but fine and clean. Food is expensive and not so good. Starter was fine but main dish dish (unfrozen) without taste with lots of sauce that was not good. More a bar than restaurant

9/10From the outside I was not excited to go, but we gave it a go because of the good reviews. Reviews are 100% correct. I gave 4/5 for food because the fries should be fresh and not from the frozen bag. But for the rest, PERFECT price / quality and the meat was amazing! SUPER FRIENDLY host and nice ambiance inside. If we were not moving, I would definitely go back more.

8/10Early dinner reservation and the first to arrive but the place filled up afterwards. Very attentive can-do service (2nd starter instead of a main dish, mix the cheese and shrimp croquettes, …). Some suggestions and a couple of classic dishes of meat or fish prepared with care. I went for a special of the day maatjes with green apple starter (‘soused herring’ ripened for a couple of days in oak barrels in a salty solution, or brine) and the rest of our party sampled shrimp and ‘Old Bruges’ cheese croquettes that were well fried and tasty. The mains, an oversize steak tartare and sea bass with sauce vierge (made from olive oil, lemon juice, chopped tomato and chopped basil) and mashed potatoes were tasty. The young’un had a lobster ravioli and didn’t complain. When turning down the limoncello on the house, we were offered a coffee instead. A discovery.

10/10The best cosy restaurant in town. Amazing service, very kind and professional owners, over the top food. And if you don't know what wine to choose, they will give you excellent advice matching very well with your choice food! Favourite place!
