Food was okay but not amazing

We went to La Famiglia twice in a row, both times were fantastic and it contributed to make our stay in Rome so memorable!

This restaurant was my favourite place to visit once I am in Rome. I have been there several times, and always it was amazing experience & delicious food. Today I was totally upset & shocked. The food had nothing to do with the previous experiences we had before. I complained to an administrator / owner, and we had complimentary limoncello. But unfortunately though it was nice, it did not change the overall experience. Very sorry to write such a review about the restaurant I adored much.

Tight seating arrangements, even though a booking was made on this platform the owner couldn’t care and we literally waited then he seated us on a table of four that already had two (2) people eating on it, food dishes were small and pricy, not worth 100 euros for three pastas, three drinks and one plain pizza

Had a delicious meal. They had reserved our table inside. Service was prompt. The menu was extensive and the dishes we ordered were excellent.

This restaurant is recommended to us by our local guide, and it happened it's located very near to our hotel. Every night there was a long lineup, so we decided to give it a try. We tried the prix fixe menu. Food was good, just a bit salty to our likings. One item was sold out, and the waiter offered us a substitute which was more expensive than the original. We were impressed with this. Once we finished everything, the bill was handed over to us. We felt that we were expected to leave right away. Probably because there was a lineup outside the restaurant. Overall, we liked this place and would go back next time we are in Rome.

A feeling that they most of all wanted us to finish our meal so more guests could have a seat…to earn more money……They didn’t asked once in everything was OK, we felt ignored the whole time untill it was time to pay the check

Pasta was good, pizza was terrible. The crust was dense and not sure it was even cooked in a wood fired oven? And the burrata completely melted on top so it was a soggy mess. Also for a half empty restaurant don’t insist on ramming people together in tables that are only inches apart. Not a very comfortable dining experience. Tons of better restaurants in Rome.

The service made the meal! We arrived and despite having a reservation had to wait 35-45 minutes before being sat, but it was fun to watch the hustle & bustle of a busy Roman restaurant on a spring night. We were lucky enough to get sat outside, which was lovely. The cheese & meat starters stole the show as far as food goes. Our server, who also seemed to be the host (and we spent our entire time in line marveling about how well he was managing the crowd and his tables and calls and everything) was PERFECT. Brought us complimentary focaccia to apologize for the wait, even though we weren't worried about it. Watching him work was just like seeing an expert in motion - it was very fun. The food was very good. Atmosphere was wonderful. We had a great meal and a great time.

Service was slow, food was average and the place was dirty . Lots of food on the floor from previous diners. Crammed in practically touching elbows to the people sat beside us on a different table . If there was more focus on quality than quantity they might do better .

Great quality food, simply but expertly prepared and very reasonably priced. Great service too. Would definitely recommend to others - a real find. If we are in Rome again, will definitely go back.

It's hard to believe that their service is worse than any other restaurant. If you hesitate for a second, the service staff will leave. I ordered food and dessert first, and he shouted at me, "Drink! Drink! Order Drink! When I checked my bill, they threw the check on my table. I observed that this situation only happened to Asian customers. It's racism.

Wonderful, delicious food! Great server and easy, casual ambience. Lasagna was our favorite of the multiple dishes we ordered, but really can’t go wrong, it was all awesome!

+6Food was absolutely delicious we came back twice in the 3 nights we stayed in Rome! Buratta starter was delightful, fresh, perfectly paired with fried anchovies! The pork suckling was out of this world! I will be dreaming of their pork dish! Carbonara was super tasty and pizzas fabulous! The set menu is also not to be missed! Thank you!

The food was very good! I had gnocchi and my daughter had cacio e Pepe. The house wine was also good and the service was pretty fast.

Fantastic local Roma restaurant. The pork was fantastic. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend as an alternative to pasta and pizza (although they do that too).
