La Gargote is a hidden gem in a nondescript courtyard in Nice. The food was simple and excellent. We had poulet forestiere and a duck and lentil dish. Both were flavorful and nicely presented. Dessert was a delicious enormous serving of homemade chocolate mousse. The service was casual and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with the waiter. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a great meal!

Good eveningJacques, first of all, we kept our promise to give a 50% discount, we are sorry that we did not meet your expectations, in return, when the waiter explained to you that we only have fresh entrecote, you agreed to order it, when you asked about the children's menu, you preferred to order only a small portion of french fries, and when you ordered a large bottle of sparkling water, you canceled it upon arrival in exchange for one from the tap, we dedicate ourselves 100% to the customer and we hope to do even better in the future! Have a nice evening!

Come and enjoy a relaxing and excellent meal presented by lovely people. One of the best onion soups I’ve had served so you can add as much cheese as you like and the toast when you prefer. The chèvre salad is delicious . The meat is excellent quality cooked perfectly.
