10/10We had a fabulous time at the restaurant. The food was amazing, wine outstanding and the host absolutely charming. Michael recommended a few bars for us to explore too. Thank you so much for making our 25th anniversary special

9.5/10Incredible value and a genial host. We loved the duck breast with roquefort sauce and the gambas flambé au pastis. The side ratatouille was flavorful, and the desserts were splendid, especially l'agrume mandarine nougat.

Le Gargote in Nice is a hidden gem tucked away in a charming local neighborhood. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and treated like old friends—even as tourists. The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. I indulged in the escargot, duck breast, and prawns, and each dish was a testament to the chef’s mastery. The escargot was perfectly seasoned and tender, the duck breast was cooked to succulent perfection, and the prawns were fresh and bursting with flavor. Every bite showcased the quality and care put into the dishes. The inviting atmosphere, combined with the impeccable service, made our evening unforgettable. It’s rare to find a restaurant that not only excels in its cuisine but also makes you feel so welcome.
