Traditional Florence food is what we wanted and La Grotta Toscana served up the best. Plus The Fork deal made it easy on our pocket. Beautiful seasoned Steak Florentine, truffle egg fondue delicious for starters and room for sweets. Friendly service, great advise on dinner selections. Worth going back!

I had to go to another place to get another Florentine steak the next day after this place. Unfortunately, steak did not meet even a just bare bones specs for being called a true Florentine steak - it was a t bone but filet mignon meat was missing in action. It was only about 3 cm ( not 3 inches thick). OK tasting but nothing to write home about. All tourists around, no Italians were there during our visit, not a good sign.

Delicious from salad to dessert The best tasting Chianina steak in Florence The service is unpretentious yet efficient The steak we opted for had the mignon and the sirloin for a full T-Bone It came perfectly cooked and seasoned on a hot plate The roasted potatoes were nice as well The desserts were good and then a courtesy vino santo was offered They honored the 50% discount as promised by booking through the Fork highly recommended

Fantastic food and a homely Italian restaurant. Could not ask for more. The Florentine steak was great (even if I’m not too convinced steak should still be so red after cooking and we had the pici and tagliatelle pastas which were delicious.

We found this place using The Fork. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had the fried eggs with truffle as an appetizer, for mains we had the T-bone steak paired with Chianti wine and pici with meatballs, for dessert we had the panacotta. Everything was tasty and (with the discount) it was overall €50 for 2 people.

I did not see you looking at your watch,and arriving at 14:00,it is the most busy hour.You have a wrong perception of time,because we do always our best to take the order ASAP but if you are not ready,we will pass onto the next table.We serve your food and try to give you a nice experience….we are Not at your service !!!Take it on yourself and not on my restaurant.A private butler cost money that you have not !!

Goodmorning Masterchef. How pitiful of you,wanting to try a Fiorentina stake without knowing that it is always cooked rare. If otherwise you should mention it…what a lack of knowledge and you blame it on the staff…Without even saying if it was tasty or not…You ignore and I got a low rate,..I wonder if you order a tartare should I ask you if you want it cooked??We make tiramisu everyday and trust me,never tasteless.

Low quality food and overpriced. Went because I had 50% discount with The Fork app. Prosciutto was very salty, bread was stale, risotto was served on a cold plate, so it was cold when it arrived on the table, peposo beef stew was made with such low quality beef, full of fat and tendons, imposible to eat, left half a plate. Tiramisu, not tiramisu at all, no flavor. With no discount 80 euros for 2 people with one bottle of overpriced water. Horrible.

Hallo,Rudolph, How are you?Gave you an answer on Trip(you do like to write!)As I said before,you spent 39 Euro for two of you,If you cannot afford it,have a sandwich on the street.Overpriced water??Tap water must have ruined your sense of taste.Tuscan ham is salted,the bread is without salt and our Peposo is fantastic…..But why you write in English and answer in Italian???

Everything was so good we went back again during out visit. Again excellent wine pairing by the waiter. The Wild Boar on Polenta with a side of spinach was fantastic. Will be my first meal on our next trip to Florence.

I love the t-tone steak. We shared a t-tone steak around 1.4kg among 4 people. The meat is tender and flavorful . The pasta is also delicious. I like the taste of the noodles The staff were very nice, introducing each dish and wine.
