9.5/10We had a great lunch at La Grotta Toscana, and the special highlight goes to Mauricio (our waiter), which gave us a real lesson on Tuscan food and what to look for, suggested dishes so we would experience the real local food (including desert) and made his best effort in speaking English to compensate our poor Italian.

6/10Despite paying a full coperto charge, the waiter only brought us bread, without olive oil, salt or pepper. The food was only ok, the gnocchi was way too hot while the prawns were lukewarm, which makes me think it might have been microwaved, while the tagliatelle with cinghiale was very dry, I don’t know if the standards are lower when you book a discounted slot. There are better places to try in Florence, in my opinion.

Dear Hope, we’re sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Our staff always provides Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil on request, and we apologize if this was not clearly communicated to you. All our dishes are freshly prepared — we do not use microwaves. Any temperature difference between ingredients depends on cooking times, especially for seafood. As for the wild boar tagliatelle, it’s a traditional Tuscan recipe with a rich, thick sauce, but we appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind. Please note that the quality of our food and service is the same for every guest, regardless of the type of booking or discount applied. 4.5/10Not worth it at all. Even with 50% disscount . The meat was ok, but side orders (potato) and truffle pasta were pool. It depens what you have for expectations, I think you will find bitter food to more reasonable prices.

2/10Rude service from cashier and when we entered they let us wait even seats are available. Multiple reminders if you need a simple request. Not attentive.

2/10The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but the moment we walked in, the staff immediately asked if we had booked through The Fork app. As soon as I said yes, their attitude clearly changed and it felt unpleasant. This was the worst steak I had in Florence – overcooked, dry, and tough. The pasta tasted like it was mixed with store-bought sauce, and there was barely any sauce at all. The spinach dip was watery, as if it had just been heated from frozen. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this restaurant was truly disappointing.

We would also like to clarify that you arrived about 40 minutes earlier than your booking time and unfortunately were not able to provide us with the reservation name at first, which may have caused some confusion.
