Outstanding! We had an evening meal at La Lanterna and it was by far the best food we ate during our stay in Sperlonga. We ordered octopus for our starter and it was one of the best starters we have ever eaten. So much flavour. We then had the fried selection along with some chips and local vegetables and it was all very fresh and very tasty. The staff were warm and friendly, very attentive and took time to explain items on the menu to us. The atmosphere was incredible, we sat with a beautiful view across the ocean. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the service was very quick. We would absolutely recommend La Lanterna.

Food wasn’t delicious: grilled vegetables were cold (I accept that usually they prepare it before and hit up before serving, but this time they were cold), salad with salmon was dressed with a sous that looked awful and was disgusting, tagliata di salmone was black from one side and cold inside. I won’t come back there.

We’d been waiting for this meal during our holiday and were fortunate to book as the rest of Sperlonga was extremely busy. The service was execellent, we had a lovely view of the sun setting
