Arrived at La Plancha with high hopes after reading the reviews. We were not greeted in a particularly friendly manner and were directed to our table of 2. We ordered a drink and decided on our main courses. The waitress appeared to be having a very bad day and we felt like an inconvenience.we settled on the Tomahawk to share and the gambas. We were not shown any specials and again were made to feel unwelcome. The whole place seemed unhappy the staff and the customers creating an atmosphere. At this point we actually asked if the food was already being prepared as we wanted to leave. Food arrived 20 minutes later the prawns were cold and the Steak barely warm. At no point did anyone check or offer any more drinks. We came and went within 1 hr. To the waitresses credit although service was terrible she removed the gambas from the bill. An overpriced, sad experience I would think twice about going.

Our young waitress placed a heavily glazed brown dinner plate in front of me where the central glazed area had been worn away by frequent use and when I pointed to the edge of the plate that was cracked with a piece missing bigger than the size of my thumb nail she just said “dishwasher!! And walked away !

Our waitress Mia was very attentive. She recommended wine, she gave us feedback on the menu and was very friendly without being overpowering. It was an anniversary meal so we wanted it to be special. The food was fabulous and the restaurant is lovely. It was a bit chilly inside but that aside we couldn't fault it. Thank you

The restaurant atmosphere and decor lovely, wine very nice but very expensive. Food nice but had an issue with one of our groups Tuna Steak, it was undercooked for her and asked for it to be cooked alittle bit more, the waiter left her waiting for a good 5 minutes then another came over asked if all ok, which she told them about the Tuna, it was taken away and return overcooked, by this time the group had finished their food and the Tuna ruined. Very expensive for ordinary steaks and fish.

The food was good to great as we had the tuna steak and beef and an appetizer too. Ambience was cosey but not too loud or crowded. The biggest complaint was the wait for the main course-over an hour. If similar service is standard, I would not recommend unless you enjoy a window of 2 hours from start to finish

The food was awful. Overcooked and overpriced steak, bruschetta and burger were both drowning in a weird bbq sauce, we were seated in the cold basement and no server checked on us for the entirety of our meal. We had so many lovely meals in Bruges. This was the worst.

Our table was between under stairs and dark red ugly curtain. Although I have a reservation via your site it seems they have no information otherwise our table would be better location

Dear, You send us an email with a question to reservatie a table. We didn’t confirm the booking because we were full that day. We’ve received more then 700 mails in 1 week time. It isn’t possible to react on every demand. At your entrance you didn’t have any information about your booking, so we let you in to have diner with us in the mancave. The red ugly curtain is placed 2 weeks ago to keep the cold out at the window at our terrace. Sorry that you had this experience, even when we’ve tried to give you the place that wasn’t confirmed. What a beautiful restaurant- we were made very welcome and enjoyed every minute of the evening. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and the manager gave her a bottle of wine on the house to wish her a happy birthday. That is the icing on the cake after an excellent meal.

The steak is fantastic with great portions and reasonably priced for the good quality. I had a delicious bruschetta starter. The service was very good too and there was a lovely, amicable atmosphere. We were even gifted a rose by the owner.

Very friendly staff. They welcome you like friends you are visiting. The food is delicious and choosing from the menu is very difficult. You want to try everything but you have to be careful because the portions are big. A lovely place for dinner in the historic part of Bruges.

Food was incredible, as was the restaurant. Only thing to let it down was the service, very moody staff. Was told we ordered too much? Was told the tomahawk steak takes 40 minutes and that she wouldn’t get it. Got told to be quiet, when we was laughing. We also was not able to split the bill for card payments as we was in a group. I personally would not return, but I do recommend the food.

The service was very good as was the quality of the food. Hope you have a good appetite when visiting as portions are very generous with the food being too good to leave, steaks were exceptional. Owner was also very hospital and very interested in the experience of all customers. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
