9/10We had a great experience here. Yuri has combined his Belgian background with his wife’s Venezuelan influence into a formidable restaurant. The filet we had was excellent (and different than the standard steakhouse - in a god way). We will be back!

9.5/10The food, perfectly cooked steak, which is a joy, asked for medium rare, cooked medium rare. All the food was delicious (though hearty portions). Lovely waitress who was happy to chat through the menu with us. Excellent house beer. Apologies for knocking glass off next table and causing ‘smashing exit’!

2/10We booked two months early to coincide with our trip for a birthday weekend from the UK with friends. La Plancha cancelled our booking the day before. We walked past the restaurant to see it busy with customers. It left us no time to re book another central restaurant for a Saturday night. Do not waste your time booking this restaurant.

10/10Wonderful atmosphere, delicious and creative food and, most of all, the wonderful welcome from this family-owned establishment. Any dish labeled La Plancha will be excellent - muscles, pasta, tapas, beer! Highly recommend this restaurant for a very memorable meal.

10/10The restaurant is located a few hundred meters from the market square and has an outside terras on the street. The interior is warmly decorated and has friendly staff. The hidden gem is downstairs, where they have awarm cosy terras surrounded with flowers and a fish pond. The food was amazing, high quality ingredients and well balanced in its preparation. You can taste all the effort they put in creating every dish, and they are copious. You have to be really hungry if you want to eat a starter and a main dish. We had octopus and a fish stew, both amazing. We were lucky to meat and chat with both the owners and they told us about their passion to cook the real honest disches, all fresh ingredients and nicely flavoured. All the meat they have on the menu is cured for at least one year. A real gem in the tourist trap that Bruge can be. But at this place you won’t be disappointed. 10/10Wow this place is a gem, Owned by an amazing couple who are so welcoming and believe it or not work as nurses in the day absolute saints, the food was so good I can’t even begin to explain please go and experience this amazing restaurant for yourself.

5.5/10We were 2 plus a little boy, and ordered an assortment of entrees. Unfortunately nobody told us us the size of the plate which was clearly beyond a 2 people manageable size. The worst was however the quality of the food: 90% deep fried staff, all of which clearly not self made but supermarket frozen packs quality. Some of the fried sticks drowned in a little bowl of chilly con carne, which was more taco chips than beans, topped with a mass of poor ham drowned in mayonnaise and a sort of ketchup. Probably nice food for a group of 4 or 6 youngsters to drown too many beers, but sure not for a family.

10/10As Brugges is a small town, group reservations are always complicated. At La Plancha, they proved to be versatile and managed to take our group of 15. Great place near the city center in an historical building - if you go there, try the lower level. Extraordinary nice people - thumbs up to Yuri and team - who delivered us a very good service and great food, fairly nice sized portions with amazing looks and taste. If back to this lovely city, definitely a place to return.

10/10A very fun place that plays great music. The staff was engaging and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the steak. The tomahawk steak flavor and quality of meat was outstanding. Newer place that really has their act together. You want to eat here, you will not be disappointed. Locally owned and operated.

7/10The place was lovely on arrival, they brought us downstairs to a table of 14 I understand restaurant are small enough but we did feel cornered as it was very hard to get in and out to use bathroom. Drinks where nice and food portions big, but 30euro for chicken burger and it wasn't chicken breast more like breaded frozen with alot of salad and dressing on burger. We got the bill and the water bottles where 12euro very expensive and they looked like refillable bottle maybe filtered but not single use bottles so for 5 bottles for the tables it was 60euro for water. At the end they did bring out a dessert with candle to sing happy birthday which was nice. Overall we had a nice time just little things that didn't make it perfect.

4/10We were sat in the basement and had to wait over half an hour to give our food order. The starters then took over 45 minutes to arrive and mains (which were almost all burgers) didn’t arrive until over 2 hours after we’d turned up at the restaurant. This situation was not helped by a lack of communication on the time the meal would take to arrive. The starter of the house tapas was huge, it could easily have served 6 rather than the recommended 4. It was tasty enough. Unfortunately the mains didn’t live up to expectations, not helped by the time it took to arrive. The waitress who served us was friendly enough.

10/10We are delighted to have discovered this new restaurant in Bruges. What a find! Comfortable and welcoming ambience, beautiful food and very friendly staff. Big shout out for the excellent vegetarian offerings alongside the meat and fish. Excellent flavour combinations and fresh ingredients. Good portions too. Our favourite thing was the suggestion for the after dinner coffee with Liquor 43. Made with a sense of theatre and absolutely delicious! A wonderful end to our weekend break.

5/10I was disappointed by the steak (which cost €42) but probably should have gone for the filet instead. The restaurant is in need of TLC as it is nice but the hoover in full view and bleach bottles out in the toilet all let it down.
