The staff were welcoming and took time to explain and suggest dishes for us to share and sample the best of Belgian cuisine. The food was impeccably presented and the restaurant was a fine introduction for me to mussels and fries!

Exceptional service. Our waitress was an absolute delight. A true professional and we had the best service ever experienced in Brussels. Everyone enjoyed their meals although the fries were a little overcooked and our waitress did offer to rectify this.

Even though we like the restaurant and prefer to regularly visit, this time we were placed in a very unpleasant part of the restaurant and table; which seemed like it’s placed there for the occasion only. Disappointing part was, we had reserved 2 months in advance, and we arrived 5-10 minutes before our booking. We had guests from overseas and notwithstanding the overall good standard of food and services, the ambiance and experience were quite poor sitting under a staircase and beside the serving area. The restaurant, unlike our previous visits, sent us last minute notifications like ‘if you want to cancel, we are here to help’ messages; which combined with the placement, seemed like an overbooking situation.

The restaurant was very welcoming. We enjoyed our meals which were of high quality, and although the price was a little high we felt it was reasonable for a special occasion. Our server was also quite attentive which is not easy to find in Belgium!

I used to dine at the Quincallerie in the 90s and was nostalgic to see it again. The food is good,but not especially remarkable. Service is attentive and quick. The original decoration, which I quite liked, was drowned out by a lot of Christmas stuff. I requested a quite table and they accommodated us so the evening was enjoyable

We found this brasserie on our first trip to Brussels during COVID and loved it then. A few years later when we came back, we made sure to come here, twice out of 3 days in Brussels. The food is amazing and the service is fabulous and the restaurant is beautiful. Try the Dover Sole- delicious and of course, the moules.
