From the start the greeting and service was friendly and welcoming. The decor was colourful with a boho vibe. The food was fresh and creative. There was a middle eastern touch to the classic Italian dishes. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a change from the traditional Italian cuisine.

Service was very good. Staff were genuinely interested in meeting client needs. Unique menu leaning toward vegan options. The Porkbelly dish was quite “light” for the 20 euro cost, consisting of two strips of pork but nicely plated.

Great selection of tasty dishes and combination of flavours. All made with fresh ingredients and served with homemade bread. Also amazing wine selection and delicious desserts. The staff are lovely, La Svolta is definitely recommended!

Very friendly restaurant. The service is a must! The place is simple. We stayed inside because it was cold an rainy. The food is OK, but nothing particularly special. On the other hand, it is a good value for money. The red house wine was good.

Very fresh and good Foodcombination, a nice place to be and the service its also good. Im live not in Bologno, but when I‘m there, I would come back to this Restaurant and definitely eat there again!

The menus are very creative and great if you want some less meat centric options (I know this is not what Bologna is all a about). The fish was fantastic. Service was very kind and unrushed. Highly recommend!

Food was really nice but the thing that made the difference was the service. Both friendly and professional they help us with the wine and they hit it spot on. Also they corrected a mistake in our bill that I didn’t see and was willing to pay. Thank you for everything!

This is a very real, committed, down to earth restaurant that truly cares about what they are doing, and takes pride in their food. Neighborhood feeling, a world away from the waning qualities found in other population-swarmed areas.

A special small place, really different that any other commercial place you can find around. We tasted less usual meals but we enjoyed them all, very tasty.

Just a few minutes walk from Piazza Maggiore and you’re in a residential area and can find this great restaurant. The wines and ingredients are sourced locally and the preparation and presentation are perfect. This was the best dining experience we had in Bologna.

I was able to find a table here last minute for my last night in Bologna and I wasn't disappointed. The service was attentive and the food excellent in the slow food tradition.

This small restaurant was a great find! The staff were super welcoming, telling us passionately about their recommendations, and the service was good. Also, the food was very very tasty. Do try the apperitivo with mortadella and the ragu pasta. You won’t regret it.

Excellent dinner at La Svolta, the hostess was charming, the wine good value and the food quality was excellent with delicious local specialities and some inventive dishes i hadn't tried before. Particularly notable was the pork loin dish - tender and beautifully cooked.

We were greeted quickly by the manager Enza. She was very friendly and a genius at pairing our food with 3 local wines. We ordered an appretizer, pasta and dessert. All the food was expertly made and very tasty. The restaurant has a cool retro vibe and deserves your reservation. Guten appetite!

This restaurant was lovely! My brother and I eat mainly vegetarian, and they had plenty of dishes to accommodate our dietary needs. The staff were all very kind and attentive (despite our not speaking Italian). The price was excellent for the quality of food.

Very friendly service and interesting concept with seasonal dishes and fresh ingredients. Easygoing atmosphere. The polpettine di mortadella as Antipasti was amazing and the tiramisu with orange was a great way to finish the evening.

Very nice, small restaurant with some traditional and some vegetarian choices. Organic house wine was good. Great service! We enjoyed our dinner.

We had such a wonderful time. The staff was outstanding and hilarious. The food was very very good. I was very surprised at how many wonderful dishes we could try. A lot of extra attention to detail was given. So much fun for everyone. Just don’t eat for two days before you go

The food was exquisite, with some flavors both sophisticated and rustic. The mortadella meatballs is like nothing I have ever eaten. The fried rice ball was subtle yet flavorful. Bravo to the chef.

Svolta was recommended by a friend, iike me a former chef. I and three other diners had three different entrees: The meatballs with fried egg, Quinoa with vegetables, house made whole wheat fettuccine with ragu. Meatballs were great, the soupy and very salty sauce less so. Quinoa did not have much flavor nor did the vegetables. Disappointing. Pasta was delicious as was the sauce. Desert was underwhelming

This restaurant is a must in Bologna. The food is extremely good, prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients; the service is even better, and great attention is given to the client. Definitely an experience to make.

We had great food, especially the risotto and the dessert of pumpkin cream with ginger was delicious. All locally produced many dishes that are not necessarily the standard heavy Bologna cuisine. Also, really nice staff!

Really cute and quaint restaurant. Exciting food choices using local and sustainable producers. Cosy setting with really knowledgeable and friendly staff. We would happily return!
