Bit of a mixed bag really! This restaurant is in a local hotel, welcoming staff who as we were a little early showed us to a sitting room and said they’d call us for our table when they were ready…we waited and 10mins past our time we walked through to the dining room. Ordered our food and both courses of mine mine were perfectly fine. Husband didn’t like the taste of his Terrine starter , so after a couple of mouthfuls left it, but ate all the salad! His main was ok. Not the best meal or experience but these things happen when you’re new to an area and just book a restaurant. Unfortunately, during the night my husband was repeatedly ill, violently suffering with a D&V reaction to something he had recently eaten…we suspect that Terrine! These things do happen, but I wish we’d eaten in our own Hotel nearby. To be repeatedly sick overnight due to a ‘suspect dish’ is not good ever, but especially when driving another 4+ hrs the following morning. Wish we’d read more reviews before booking

The place is quite bizarre, an old elegant building just attached to a modern Ibis hotel in a developing area in the perifery of Dijon. The restaurant itself is obviously also used as the breakfast room for the hotel, yet it retains a certain style. The menu is limited, but what we had was excellent and nicely presented.

Lovely dinner in this romantic restaurant with impeccable service. The menu options are a delightful twist on traditional French cuisine, and we felt the semi-gourmet classification is well merited. There were also plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Finally, we had no problems paying with The Fork Pay which is not the case everywhere. We will return if we are in the area again, for another delicious dinner.
