We saw this place and booked before we arrived in Carcassonne. The food was all home cooked to perfection. The waitress was helpful and friendly and atmosphere wonderful. I had steak and my husband pork. The food was simple, very reasonably priced and ice cream pudding delicious. We would highly recommend La Taverne Modern.

Close to the Cité and Chateau and Remparts. Good service and wine, but I've had much better duck confite and bread. The veggies are rather tasteless.

Good family option with pasta options and also entrecôte and similar options for the parents. Very friendly service also from the staff and we have a very enjoyable meal

I liked the food. Even tough I only had a salad. But this one was plentiful and good. The restaurant was very careful with the Covid 19 seating and I liked the atmosphere
