Everything was good as far as service, as usual. We go often to try new menus. Ambiance and concept very good. But unfortunately this time we felt the menu was very short. Usually we go for the longer menu that is about 11 or 12 experiences. This time I believe it was just 5 or six. I asked and they said it was thier soft opening. Maybe should have said that when we made the booking. What we were served was very good, but I left the restaurant hungry - had to go somewhere else afterwards to eat a bit more...

The opening act of eating foods from Portugal by moving around the map was an excellent start to the meal. The service was phenomenal. And the wine pairings were fantastic.

Interesting and surprising culinary experience. More than just food, it's edible art that plays on all senses. Service was perfect, waiters were friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Incredible experience starting with the Lab itself, where we started our journey through Portugal. Two experienced chefs prepared the different amuse-bouche by region and crafted explained by Mathilda. Then at the table every detail was attained. Every dish is a painting and an explosion of flavours. The staff worked in unison and gave us a perfect night. The Lab deserves a second star!

This has been one of the best experiences ever. Flawless, amazing, friendly service , unbelievable Team and food to die for . Worth every penny. Can’t wait to be back

Everything outstanding! Service, food, experience! We couldn't fault it and it made for the perfect 40th birthday celebration. Stand out staff and surroundings. I hope they continue to get the accolades they deserve!

+8Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted warmly and had one surprise after another! First we were handed a glass of sparkling wine, then invited to “pick” a welcome bonbon from an olive tree, and then we were taken upstairs where there is a table with a map of Portugal and we had unique Chef’s tapas from different regions of Portugal. This is all before even being seated for the dinner!

The food, service and experience were fantastic. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a worldly culinary experience.

We go back everytime they change the menu. It is the best 1 star Michelin in the Lisbon area. Surprisingly it does not have 2* because in my opinion it is better than the only 2* we have in the Lisbon area. It is an experience to remember and it does not matter what they charge you, it is worth every bite. You can't go wrong here - all is amazingly put together, and I don't mean the food only. Congrats to LAB.

It is by far the best Michelin-starred restaurant in Portugal. It offers exceptional and creative cuisine and service in a setting within Penha Longa and the Sintra National Park. No other restaurant can compare on this international level—it is ripe for the second Michelin Star (highly deserved). Best Mila & Nils

This was an amazing experience. We live in NY and have been to many outstanding places locally and around the world and LAB is on par with the best of them. Then food and presentation were terrific. The menu was creative and the experience well thought out but unintrusive. The place deserves at least 2 Michelin stars.

The "first moment" upstairs was wonderful. Every single appetizer was delicious and the pacing was excellent. The tasting menu downstairs was pretty good, but paled in comparison. Way too many sweet dishes, and way too much sweetness in dishes that were not desserts.

The dinner at the LAB is not a dinner!! It's a marvellous experience, sensational service and great atmosphere!

We enjoyed the restaurant: great service, moments were nicely presented and the food quality was excellent. Good choice of wines and very good attention to detail. The first part of the experience was a nice surprise. We will be back.

It's far more than just a meal, This is a totally unforgettable experience. It was theatre and food combined. We got to meet the chefs and their love and passion for the food was incredible and infectious. We would go back again tomorrow. Jose is charming, very knowledgeable and he really enhanced our experience. The only thing more that I would like is that the portions are a bit larger and that the restaurant has a little bit more ambience.

Everything was simply exquisite. It was by far the best dining experience of our lives! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's visiting Portugal. It's worth the drive from Lisbon!

Absolutely fabulous both experience and food. Loved it ... would recommend if you are in the area. Would definitely return. Went on date night with my husband and we almost liked each other by the end of the night! Well done The LAB

An excellent restaurant with a very interesting concept of introducing the main and more iconic Portuguese culinary phenomena. The staff is very open and friendly, which of course corresponds to the level of a Michelin star restaurant. Located in a unique location within the Sintra National Reserve. In the evening is a very beautiful view of the golf courses. Certainly this place is worthy of celebrating an important event for you here, whether it is a birthday or a wedding anniversary. High recommendation and thanks to the entire team for the excellent food, amazing service and overall good time spent here See you at your second restaurant

One of the best experiences ever.

It was a great experience from the very first to the last minute! Started with a "tour" through some of the most regional dishes from some of the locations in Portugal. With the touch of the chefs it was possible to realize the tremendous quality, diversity and originality that was put into every single one of them, The explanations were detailed, funny and the ambience and sympathy of every person made us feel very special. After the tour we were taken to the main dinner room where we had one of the best gastronomic experiences of our lives. We went with the menu "Serra Fora" and we could not be happier with our choice. Every dish was a surprise of mixtures, and an explosion of flavours. Cheers to every member of the team to make this possible. Definitely recommend to everyone and we will be coming back, for sure.

Amazing experience. Wonderful menu full of surprises, exquisite food. The personals were so nice and welcoming. A beautiful evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday that we will remember for a long time.

Great restaurant balancing traditional theatrical and experimental. Every dish was a delight. Only slight disappointment were the wines but understand what and how they were chosen.

We were surprised at the same beginning of the dinner with a tapas tour of the country, trying different foods from each part of the country served by the chef. Excellent experience, recommend to anyone

Outstanding food and experience! Two negative remarks: 1-meal sauces were a bit too salty. 2- wine prices exaggerated.
