10/10+8Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted warmly and had one surprise after another! First we were handed a glass of sparkling wine, then invited to “pick” a welcome bonbon from an olive tree, and then we were taken upstairs where there is a table with a map of Portugal and we had unique Chef’s tapas from different regions of Portugal. This is all before even being seated for the dinner!

10/10We go back everytime they change the menu. It is the best 1 star Michelin in the Lisbon area. Surprisingly it does not have 2* because in my opinion it is better than the only 2* we have in the Lisbon area. It is an experience to remember and it does not matter what they charge you, it is worth every bite. You can't go wrong here - all is amazingly put together, and I don't mean the food only. Congrats to LAB.

10/10It is by far the best Michelin-starred restaurant in Portugal. It offers exceptional and creative cuisine and service in a setting within Penha Longa and the Sintra National Park. No other restaurant can compare on this international level—it is ripe for the second Michelin Star (highly deserved). Best Mila & Nils

10/10This was an amazing experience. We live in NY and have been to many outstanding places locally and around the world and LAB is on par with the best of them. Then food and presentation were terrific. The menu was creative and the experience well thought out but unintrusive. The place deserves at least 2 Michelin stars.

10/10The "first moment" upstairs was wonderful. Every single appetizer was delicious and the pacing was excellent. The tasting menu downstairs was pretty good, but paled in comparison. Way too many sweet dishes, and way too much sweetness in dishes that were not desserts.

10/10We enjoyed the restaurant: great service, moments were nicely presented and the food quality was excellent. Good choice of wines and very good attention to detail. The first part of the experience was a nice surprise. We will be back.

9.5/10It's far more than just a meal, This is a totally unforgettable experience. It was theatre and food combined. We got to meet the chefs and their love and passion for the food was incredible and infectious. We would go back again tomorrow. Jose is charming, very knowledgeable and he really enhanced our experience. The only thing more that I would like is that the portions are a bit larger and that the restaurant has a little bit more ambience.

10/10An excellent restaurant with a very interesting concept of introducing the main and more iconic Portuguese culinary phenomena. The staff is very open and friendly, which of course corresponds to the level of a Michelin star restaurant. Located in a unique location within the Sintra National Reserve. In the evening is a very beautiful view of the golf courses. Certainly this place is worthy of celebrating an important event for you here, whether it is a birthday or a wedding anniversary. High recommendation and thanks to the entire team for the excellent food, amazing service and overall good time spent here See you at your second restaurant

10/10The best experience! We came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and everyone here was so attentive and made the evening so memorable. The unique way the food was presented made it even better. It is a very small spot, and only 4 other parties were seated around us, making the experience feel very intimate and we were well taken care of. This restaurant certainly deserves a 2nd star!

10/10A surprise in all ways. The initial tapas event with a gastronomic tour of Portugal before being led to our table was creative and well thought out. We chose the long menu that consisted of about 7 plates. While very full at the end I wasn’t left dreading another course. The team’s locally inspired creations all had a unique but not arbitrarily strange nature and we enjoyed the taste combinations in every one. The sommelier picked a wonderful light high altitude red at our instructions to go with the meal. We would definitely visit again next time they cycle the menu. A well deserved Michelin star.

10/10Fabulous! Upstairs survey of Portuguese cuisine was effective. Downstairs the spacious eight table dining room was elegant and safely isolated. The food and service was exceptional.

10/10It was a great experience from the very first to the last minute! Started with a "tour" through some of the most regional dishes from some of the locations in Portugal. With the touch of the chefs it was possible to realize the tremendous quality, diversity and originality that was put into every single one of them, The explanations were detailed, funny and the ambience and sympathy of every person made us feel very special. After the tour we were taken to the main dinner room where we had one of the best gastronomic experiences of our lives. We went with the menu "Serra Fora" and we could not be happier with our choice. Every dish was a surprise of mixtures, and an explosion of flavours. Cheers to every member of the team to make this possible. Definitely recommend to everyone and we will be coming back, for sure.

10/10Every detail was perfectly composed and presented. The restaurant sits in a beautiful landscape and every room allows breathtaking views of the park. That means that the architect made full use of the nature outside and chef made sure that we learned how the local natural products were integrated into our dishes. The experience at LAB was well choreographed featuring the views of nature the clean and clear architecture, not overloaded with decorations, and the well groomed and trained personnel from diverse backgrounds. At all times the personnel was very kind and considerate to the one disabled person in our party and to the two children. We were first led to a second floor level where we were introduced to an excellent Portuguese champagne and then the door opened to a presentation room with a huge window looking south while evening setting sun gave us an almost surreal illumination of a part of a golf course and the park surrounding it. The presentation room had a large table in the middle, and in it was carved the outline of Portugal and its islands. From there we could watch the Sous Chef prepare one amuse Boucher after another featuring recipies

10/10fantastic menu, great service and brilliant wine pairing. definitely more than one star. We have not experienced such a great evening in a long time. the lab is a must for connoisseurs.
